    We do have dirt roads, but rather unsatisfying as it’s 1-5 km of dirt road then back to pavement for 1-5 km then back to another dirt road. I do run these dirt roads and in fact my wife and I are in the process of building a retirement cottage. That I very much intend not to live in during December January February March as our winter is miserable. Where we are building you turn left from driveway and 200 meters dirt rd starts, turn right from driveway and 400 meters dirt rd starts. Yes I much prefer riding away from pavement. Although Baja sand I avoid. Although not Baja as we will back there in November 2020 for the winter. The best time of year to visit here on a moto is. June 10-20 and September 10-20. Weather is warm enough, humidity low, and most important tourist volume low. Gunnerbuck feel free to e mail if at later date you roll this way and need help with trip planning and so on. Merlin

    @gunnerbuck:

    Excellent report and amazing pictures!

    If you don't mind: what's the name of the mountain you guys rode up near Lillooet? It looks incredible! I did ride in the area on my pig (Mission Mountain Road, Highline Road, Hurley FSR) but never something as hardcore as 8000ft.

    Thank You!

    We rode on 2 mountains near Lillooet, first was China head mountain, and the Second was near Molybdenite Mountain which is over 8000'..

    Great ride report. We bumped into Jason last year near Sheridan Lake on his way to the Island. When he said he rode that paint shaker from Halifax I told him he deserves a medal. Glad to see he came back to ride some more interesting stuff.

    He actually prefers the 640 for a travel bike to his Husky 701 which he rode here and flew it back home 3 yrs ago..

    A lot of the tracks in the BC part of our ride are either on the TCAT or we use the TCAT to travel to them... I had an active fall season off the bike, I'll post a sample of pictures below to show our Vancouver Island lifestyle..

    This is the second longest cave in Canada and they have not finished mapping it, so it will likely surpass number one in the next year of exploration..

    The fall rains are making the rivers more of a hazard to cross..
