Started going to Baja 37 years ago on thanksgiving when I was 18.
Been going for 23 straight years every Thanksgiving usually for 6 to 10 days.
This years trip everyone canceled for various reasons as of yesterday 11/18/18.
So I have decided to go by myself leaving tomorrow, have a friend willing to come rescue me if needed..
Here is a link to my Spot tracker- http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0Ez6Kqbtr5RlWp3Xp2U0AeMGNPWmUYqTH to see where I end up.
My rough plan (As of about an hour ago) is Drive to Tecate border crossing Tomorrow 11-20-18 and start at Rancho ojai in tecate 11-21-18 on my KTM 500.
Head south on the pacific to Catavina maybe Bay of La and head back thru San Felipe, taking as much single track and beach as i can for about 7 days.
I have a go pro and will take lots of photos, and maybe try and post at night in hotels with WiFi.
    Should be quite the adventure!
I am hoping to run into some other groups that we can hook up, I know lots of trails in Baja.

There's something somewhat spiritual about riding in the middle of nowhere alone.
    Have fun, stay safe.

Nice! Beach riding rocks, especially on those deserted sections.

Surf looks pretty high, how we’re the temps for you?

I was fortunate enough to run into Dave in Catavina while I'm travelling solo through Baja so we decided to ride together for a few days. It worked out well for me since he is a Baja expert and was able to show me around some good single track. Here's a few pics I took. I'll have ride report when I get back also, baja solo on a baby smoker.

Pitstop while trying to decide to go through this fence.
