On this Saturday - up to those who want to have a go at poetry or songwriting or yarnspinning or just a place to go this weekend.
Be warned that it supposed to be wet - droughtbreaker ?

Anyway, Poetry after lunch on Saturday - usually under the big Plum tree but we don't have to be there - where ever is fine - in the shade somewhere.
Those camping fees are $15 per person per night - Ranger Michael will be around for fees or you can pay at the office @ Bill Grace Reserve, think they have a basics shop at the office at Billy Grace these days ?

Need a break from this week so anyway, I'll be out after lunch on Saturday - I might even be out there on Friday
Please use commonsense about fire warnings etc, back to basics, toilets & showers at Micalong Creek campground, as well as Billy Grace and Trackhead

    Cheers

And I'll believe it is raining when I see it. Absolutely nuthin' here in the rain gauge all this month.

I'm in Quadracycle [Triton Traytop], bike haemorrhaging vital fluid - requiring mechanic lobotomy - so it was the Triton or the tractor ?
and 'Mr Lu Fung' has no paperwork so hence Triton it is

Baza, I'd thought for a few years that this an event I'd like to get to one day.

Then you keep posting pics of some very suss looking characters, are you trying to discourage new people from attending?

You'd fit right in mate - usually a quiet small affair - at most thirty - least probably half dozen
all good - nice and green as rule and the water is cold in Micalong Creek
Clancy reckons it's one of the top camps in Australia
Think the Four Owners Club may be at Billy Grace as well - not sure on that one

I just now was speaking (by phone) to the character in the middle of the first of those 3 pics you just posted. Could be a good year to go as he reckons he isn't :evil, he also gave glowing reports about the site.

Best news I've heard for awhile - don't think he did much poetry from memory - so he's still alive then ?

Apart from being freezing, occasionally wet and only four of us there - we had a great time, no poetry !
Treated to a very entertaining yarn session by Nev & Crampy - which were of Himalayan proportions !
Paul & I just sat back and listened mostly - turned bitter cold - as attested to by comments this morning about 0700
    [IMG]
F#####G freezing - Crampy, cold - Paul, pleasant from Nev and with a -10c bag who's cold - Barry
We covered most people [of note !] - places - rally's and general misadventures by all present
No poetry but plenty of good quality bull !
Bit dry out there - campgrounds looked great - thanks Michael & Michelle [caretakers] - $14 if you pay at the office, $15 if Mick has to collect from campgrounds
    Cheers

Nice report there Baz. Sometimes a smaller gathering is a better thing. It sounds like this was one of them. :thumb

Yep - quality not quantity, I've always claimed that - had a great time apart from not having long strides with me !!

    New bridge at Micalong Creek
Caught a few others out with sleeping gear - my old sleeper works in all weathers, -10c that works !!
