I can't help but notice the lack of graffiti and how clean everything is! Very different in the US- I see graffiti everywhere, even in small towns far, far away from the big cities. It makes me sad and angry at the same time.
Thanks - so hers a "special". Naaa - not realy. But..... let's see it. Map of the tour: Profile: Autumn is comming - so it's a good idea to visit the "Eng-Alm" at the "Großer Ahornboden". It's a part of Austria, which can only be reached by Germany. That means the only road to the eng alm is comming from Germany - there is no road to other Austrian parts. So let's see it. this was one km ilegal. This track is closed for public travel. (near Bichl). so back on normal road - to view the little river the other side fire-fighters in the back -- in front - a quite new thing -- sit down here if you want to be a passenger. Car drivers can stop and take you with them. at Lenggries - Brauneck mountain - Trees get color. Sylvenstein lake - send some time here. Looked at all the bikers and had a very nice talk with an 85 year old guy. We talked about Bikes (he had a Maico), Covid, being fit in high age and how expensive modern bikes are. He was smiling then we talked about heated seats, heated grips - he never had this. Even he had no warm clothes in his biker time. other side of the dam lot's of bikes on sundays here. way up to Eng Alm nice colored trees Karwendel mountains - even a huge mountain-bike trail here in this area. close to the top first set of maple trees. at the end of the valley - Eng Alm next set of trees (that's why the tourists come) closer to the maple trees next set the trees are quite old much older than KTM yellow is the main color this weeks only for a short time before winter is comming. the end of the valley a huge parking and some bars - from here you can walk and do some mountain-biking for the next 50 km. the way to Eng-Alm (1 km to walk) the tourist hotspot get some selfmade cheese - a Kaminwurzen and some fresh made bread. yummy same way back than Ahornboden (maple trees) down from here mountains quite close wild river near the road fast and cold valley to the left - into the Karwendelmountains still the river close to the road. Passed the Toll-station (to Eng-Alm is a toll road) Back to Sylvenstein and then on to Achensee. Close before Achensee left to Steinberg am Rofan a small road - to Kaiserklamm with great views. and easy to ride gravel - on of the less legal gravel roads in the area. sometimes a bit more steep river to Kaiserklamm a KTM behind the guesthouse Kaiserklamm you can do some short gravel highway. (a dead end) back to Steinberg - the way i came down (very small way here) you have to take care about cars and mountainbikers and waterfalls even steep down near the road more space here and good views close to the end of gravel Steinberg am Rofan as last pic. So than - back to Sylvenstein, Bad Tölz and home. A colorful day. to be continued... have fun Andreas

Here one near Bernbeuren Swan lake -- near Burggen 4 more ballons in this pic and a bit finish feeling on a bit gravel between Kirmesau and Kalkofen. some km later it was dark and i was soon back home to be continued... have fun Andreas

Had this on the balcony in late afternoon ... so here we go .... next short tour at short days. Map of the tour profile went to Wolfratshausen and on to Dietramszell. When left the road - to take a small gravel road through a forest. at the begin of the gravel near the end of the gravel - a nice forest road behind Holzkirchen - the alps in the background relaxed horses then reached Valley - and the Monastery brewery and a beer garden -- all closed at the moment - because of this virus the monastery brewery even there is an organ museum one pice shown in the window donw in the valley - 500 m behind Valley -- the river Mangfall the KTM ist looking for the way up at the right top corner River Mangfall - over direction next view to the alps still on small roads mid of November - still cool flowers at the house wood pellets - for heating. Children have fun the hole area. Also used for "Eisstockschießen" -- Wiki here text in english is very short - much much longer is the german version. short before home - i went up to Zist -- to get this view freezing horse? view to Karwendel mountains (Kochelsee - Walchensee) bad waether vs good weather -- impressive a last look - 4 km before home -- Parking of Cafe Märzenhof - view to Blomberg (direction Bad Tölz) and some min later back home into the warm. Andreas, would you consider putting your photo titles at the top of the picture instead of the bottom??? I find myself scrolling down to see the next pic, then scrolling back up to see the description, then scrolling back down to see the pic in context. It would make a much smoother viewing experience. In any case, I enjoy these pics and dream of visiting Bavaria and other places in Germany some day. I would also love to visit the places up north associated with Martin Luther, along with so many other places of historical significance. Oh, and these places you show are soooooo clean!
Thanks for these great photos. You are having some great weather right now, I hope you can do some tours for us to see.
