I am really surprised you havent made the seat better or upgraded it. Also the rear foot peg lowering...which is easy. Actually the seat is easy to fix too. Be glad to give you tips if you like. Keep up the great reports Andreas. Really enjoy them alot especially the Bavarian country ones. I'll have to make it back over there one of these days. Prosst!

    Thanks for your reply.
:-) first seat improvement was using KTM PowerPart Seat, but still ist not perfekt. Foodpegs for Tina are lowerd, but also not perfect. ;-)
I had a request at Jungblut seats. But they didn't manage to sent me an offer. Maybe i give him a second chance during winter break, or i take a look to a saddle "master" near Lenggries.
So still some improvment work to do. :-)

Feb. 1st -- normaly no day for riding a bike - more for skiing -- so my neighbours been skiing today. But we had a + 15°C. So i tried to start the KTM.
bob bob bob - at the first time. Had a smile and put on my gear.
So tried to start it again -- nothing. Battery down. :-( So had to load it a while.

And than -- time for a small ride.

    Here we go.

Vielen Dank für deine Berichte und tollen Foti. Habe eine Zeit auch in deiner Gegend gewohnt (RO) und es ist sehr interessant die Landschaft nach so vielen Jahren wieder zu sehen. Weiter so. Das Frühjahr naht. Und dann gehts wieder los.

    2nd 2020 ride last weekend.
To Irschenberg (well known for huge traffic jams on the highway).

First small roads north. To Beuerberg, Königsdorf and Geretried. Was a sunny day, round +5°C.

in the shades, you still find some ice. But this winter is worse. Nearly no snow until now.

50cm of snow mid february should be normal.

Next down to Dietramszell - Alps in the background.

Thanks to all for your replies.
So here's a new tour - done last sunday. Went west to Allgäu. (there i found Texas - you don't belive - have a look ;-)) And like always ....

    Map of the tour:
    map_texas.JPG

    and the profile:
    prof_texas.JPG

For this years season i did some small planings at "Kurviger.de", just to get new ideas for touring on very small roads. This tour was the first try - should lead me to Lake Konstanz, but i made a shortcut, because of time.

Jenhausen - near lake Starnberg - first small road.

    horses

the alps most times in sight

    close to Peisenberg

next main point - Lech river (and some swans)

    one more swan

and the view to the other side

went on - found more curious horses

empty roads - less traffic -- on main roads - tonns of tourists

still view good views to the alps

    Elbsee (a nice tourist place)

no free place for a coffee

    last look to the lake

here i decided to cut my planned route and went closer to the alps - direction Sonthofen.

    but still on small roads

a closer look (Sonthofen mountain on the right)

    nice

So i passed Sonthofen and climbed up Oberjoch-passroad. (Curves, curves, curves)

top of Oberjoch - still some snow

    the way i came

    on the way to Füssen

    closer look

lots of small curvey roads (sometimes with a speed limit)

    the smallest one i found

    some trees left

and -- surprise, surprise ... at the end of this road ...
    i reached --- America -- or better

    Texas ;-)

    this is Texas / Allgäu

    :-)

So, i started to get dark then, and cold. So had to go fast.

    View direction Murnau.

some work at the lake - all water out. -- Mountain in last light.

30 min later i reached home.

    to be continued ...

Time for a little "and now to something completly different"

    Covid-19 / SARS - CoV-2
Due to Corona-Virus complete Italy is a red zone at the moment. Austria seems to close the border to Italy. Germans comming from Italy are allowed to pass Austria, but not allowed to stop in Austria. Inside Germany the big cities are more involved, also the "Ruhrgebiet-area".
German Icehockey league 1 and 2 Playoffs are canceld. All events (Sport, Music, etc.) with more than 1000 people are canceld until easter holidays.
Shopping still possible, but sometimes the food shops are empty. You can't get desinfeciton stuff and masks at the moment. :doh
Tina and me are still fine at the moment. I'm (and my team) are banned from our "employee restaurant" the next 4 weeks. :permazot

KTM - gets technical inspection this month (German TÜV - needed all 2 years). Seat update still in progress.

Hi again, out of the Covid-19 Hotspot. :-)
doesnt look like this today. A sunny sunday - with lots of people don't care about a virus and went to all the tourist hotspots. (just now in the news - germany will close all borders from tomorrow morning).
but I'm still allowed to go to work. :-(

So - new seat mounted. New TÜV, No fever, Let's go for a tour - avoiding huge crowd, avoiding McDonals or BurgerKing :-)
