This is always a good time, folks come from several states away. They specialize in restoring old Brit bikes but sell new Triumphs too. Known worldwide. Peter Egan has mentioned them in his writings.

Mike, are you going? I have plans on that Friday, but I may be able to go on Sat.

I love their "back room", full of vintage iron :clap

I'm gonna try. I usually go Sunday, but I'm flexible. Sunday is the free eats and bike judging. I normally skip the demo rides, but might want to try a Scrambler and maybe a 675:evil
Keep an eye on the Yahoo group, usually some guys will ride over together.

Sunday would be the day to go. If you want to do demo rides, you need to get there early. The free lunch is at noon with bike judging right after.

We will have to see what the weather is like next week. I may have to work on Sunday (unless they keep me in training classes for 2 weeks)....so that will make my decision for me.

I don't care about a free hot dog. If you have not been to the Marne Bar and had a Marne Burger, you havn't lived :deal

Done the Marne burger. Big reason for Sunday isn't the free hot dog, it's the unbelievable vintage iron that shows up for the judging.

    Should be a good time.

If anyone is heading over from/thru the Des Moines area and wants a riding partner, give me a yell. Either day works. Or both :nod

Wouldn't mind meeting some more folks from around the area.

I will be out there with mine on Sat for sure now. I will have to work on Sun.

So I will depart Omaha sometime before noon on Sat.

Had a great time, beautiful weather. Test rode a Bonnie and a Daytona 675.
Bonnie was nice, smoother than I thought it would be. Happy cruising around 60. The 675 was super cool but no way I could sit on the thing for more than 30 minutes. More radical seating position than my old SV track bike with race clip ons and rearsets. The growl from the triple was delicious though:D A naked version with more friendly ergos would be a hoot.
Saw a few GS's there any of YFF's?

This year's dates are August 18-19. 2 weeks out, so you have time to plan.

Same stuff as last year, and if was a fun time. It's nice to see a small dealer in a tiny town doing so well.

    See you in Marne, IA!

Looking like I might do it. A friend of mine emailed today, wants to either go up Saturday and motel for the night, or hit it early (like 4 AM) and bust it up there Sunday morning. Looks like just under 4 hours from Topeka, as long as the town constable in BFAuburn isn't making his Sunday donut run yet when we go through. Last time I went though there I got to have a friendly little $230 chat with him at 8AM.
