Welcome! Not much of a club, to be honest. T O Double D started this thread as a way to meet up & ride, but he's vanished (hmm, what happened to him anyway...hope he's still riding).

It is what we make it...

Ive been an inmate for a lot of years. For one reason or the other Ive only ridden with this group once. It was a lot of fun.
Knowledgable helpful fun people. Another good ride group is the South Bay Riders.

The ride to a national park is just trying to see if anyone is up for making new riding buddies & to enjoy a Lil entry break .

When are you thinking? What about road conditions, been on Black ice a couple of times, not my favorite thing to do.

crossing at Tecate super easy, got $6000 pasos at the ATM two blocks south of the border, returned with $2K pasos ...
weather was cooperative with the 10-day forecast that precipitated the trip ... :lol3
met up with about 20 guys from BARF in BoLA who drove down in trucks and were heading south from there ...

Thanks for the report & photos John. If my legs were 2 inches longer, I'd be tempted to get a KLR & follow you around Baja!

Good to see Coco doing well. Have they finished the main highway re-route that was supposed to isolate his corner? I need to get back down there. Maybe 2020.

Speaking of too-tall motos, my ancient & loved Aprilia Caponord is for sale in the flea market. Cheap, with lotsa character. ;-)

John, are you Noobs Rallying this year? I'm finally going! :-)

if I had any sense I'd get a Beta and learn to ride ... :lol3

Coco looked great! All the traffic still has to go right by his front door. They have made huge progress with a colossal road bed south of Coco's to Hwy 1, though.

I was shocked to see how much damage there has been to Hwy 5 between Gonzaga and Puertecitos ... many places where lots of roadbed has been washed away and at least one of the huge bridges just south of Puertecitos is no longer in use due to storm damage ...

Caponord is cheap, super-tempted ... :thumb

n00bs Rally was awesome last year, the first year I've made it ... you'll love it ...
maybe I can make it to Downieville Days this year ... see if Bicycle Phil isn't working ...

    Baja 2020! :ricky
