Southeast Utah, about 2 miles from Colorado border. Search on advrider for the backstory. Inmate Dingweeds.

I saw somewhere that there's a group ride/meeting at the junction on Sunday. Sunday is their final day of operation.

Yeah, I saw that on BARF...Saturday just works better for me...thought I'd see if any inmates are headed that way.

I'm thinking about it. Just got my cast off from wrist surgery 2 weeks ago and need to strengthen my clutch side. Still waiting on parts for my windscreen to come in so I can put it back on. So I might be riding naked :jack

What time are you heading out?

Sorry I get his inmate name wrong every time. It’s “DingWeed”

Thanksgiving weekend, and perfect weather on the coast.
How lucky are we to have Highway 1 at our disposal?

What a Sunday ride. But haven't seen that many cars on Stewarts Point road in a long time.

It really was a beautiful weekend, wasn't it? I rode out to Big Sur with a dirt detour on Coast Road.

I know we've all been isolating for way too long here, but those are not cars. Go check with your ophthalmologist, for pete's sake... :D

    Nice photos. Nice bike!

Is Coast Road still closed at the Bixby Bridge end?

For those that have had both, which is better: Tomales Bay Oyster or Hog Island?

Thanks! Coast Road is open. We rode from the Bixby Bridge all the way through.

I got my last x-ray & evaluation by my Kaiser orthopedist, she said I can resume all normal activities, within reason. The ankle is still a little ouchy on occasion, so I'm about 85% right now. The doc recommended some Hoka One One shoes to get my transition better on-track. The heel-box is deeper in the shoe than most, so it stabilizes the heel and ankle while walking.

I went to the Dublin REI to get a pair and while I was in line, one of the salespeople recognized the box and said that they work great for broken feet, as he had broken his foot while riding his KLR... :D So I introduced myself & talked bikes for a bit. I left him a note with the ADVRider website & my userid, so hopefully he'll log in sometime and become a Bay Area Rider's Forum & Bay Area Adventure Riders Club member.

Yeah, I'm very happy about it. Now I can start gentle stretching, rotations, etc., and some gentle jogging. Yay, sweating. :D

New inmate here! Bought a SAS last month and have been mostly riding Skyline (2500 miles already ). Anyone planning to do fire roads / light trails over the next few weeks? While I’m a long time rider, off-roading is a bit new to me, so looking for company!
