I'm not sure if they're even travelling together. PM Dog Breath (Mark) or SP2 (Kevin) to find out. I spoke with Dog Breath and he said "early". Also looking at the thread, we'll be leaving Merritt "early". So I suggest that you guys head to Merritt "real early":rofl

Hi guys, I'm new to the whole biking thing. I've gone out a couple times dirtbiking with coworkers, and i had a blast. I am buying a KLX250 next week(this part probably belongs in different thread) but im really excited about it.

Just wondering about the Motor skills test, for anyone of you guys in the okanagan(vernon mainly) did you have to call in to do the motorskills test(the one in the parking lot) or did you just drop in. I really want ride the KVR route.

As i was busting my ass drilling on the highway couple km's south of Sorrento, i was so jealous of all the bikers, and DS's. So with the money from this job im getting a klx250, which i want to be able to do weekend long excursions on. Going on the forest roads, and stuff like that.

Also(sorry for asking all these different questions in one post) could you guys recommend a gps, that has those forest/ dirt roads, loaded onto it?

    Thanks for the help

Love reading the road trip logs (kaneman and chasing the horizon(sp?))

After watching Stily1's cimematic extravaganza of last years ride with a couple of riders who missed last years event, they both thought the B.C.B.T.R. would make a good tv show like LWR.

We had beautiful scenery, historic byways, bikes falling over, cursing & public drinking & general disrespect for the rules of the pool, displays of raw riding talent, excessive speed, the Goat Trail, alternate means of crossing bodies of water, windy pavement, characters like Goat Boy and Dirty Curves, more bikes falling down and enough debauchery to earn a PG13 rating. LWR couldn't offer half of that. Plus, no bears were shot, although one had to high tail it out of the way of a Big Trailie and our cameraman rides very well.

I think I'll give KTM a call for some bikes.....they wouldn't want to make another mistake like the last one.

I am sure if KTM is afraid to provide the Bikes, Honda will give some Big Ruckus's for the trip.:thumb

I just booked the last room at the Log Cabin in Penticton and the last room (honeymoon suite !! Woot !! ) at the Cactus Inn in Oliver. The Southwind motor Inn is booked up.

You know, I think that would actually be a lot of fun! Well, maybe not the high-speed highway parts, though.

You Westerners sure do know how to put on a ride. Do you think there will be extra debauchery this year to get it bumped up to a R rating? :freaky
