Weather predictions? WEATHER PREDICTIONS?! This is BC, you don't like the weather, wait fifteen minutes, it'll change.

Looks like rain for Thursday, and if we're lucky that will be it. So pack your rain suit, spare gloves and extra socks. But on the bright side, this is a hotel ride! :clap

Sorry, but you must not have read your copy of the B.C.B.T.R. rules.

Ride Rules #13, sub-section #4, paragraph 2 clearly states that no alcohol will be permitted.

    That is all.

    Yes guys!
2 days to departure and I do not see much planning from the lower mainland starting point.

Are you riding straight up after work via the coquihalla ?
Via Duffey lake Spences bridge with an early morning start ?
Anybody hitting dirt to warm up on the way up? if yes which one?
My knobbies are still virgin,a dn that does not look good for this ride LOL.
I would love to explore thoses many sides roads along the coquihalla actually.
Anybody knows if there is a trick to go around the toll booth for eg?
Coldwater road is a must of course.
How about hitting some roads from the Loaddedpalooza of last year on the way up. say Anderson lake to lillooet, and hit the pavement to finish.

Debauchery, sheep fu(kin, nude bungee jumping, dirty curves, and a rule book about alcohol?

Is that before, during or after the riding is completed? Lol...

This I gotta see... I'm bringing the ADV camera. HA!

Leaving Taco-ma on Thursday, see you all in Merritt...

    Laughing all the way!

Well now! After all this foreplay, er, I meant buildup, lets hope this isn't a big ol' letdown......bunch of soggy muddy guys too-far into their cups bleeting plaintivly into the bushes........

But hey, we can always fall back on rippin' up the dirt on our trusty trail whales! It's gonna be a grand adventure no matter what. See you in a few days.

Checked the weathernetwork on my portable 8-track AM/FM radio....very minimal chance of rain throughout the route for the entire weekend. Wetcoast to Merritt Thursday? check yourself -looks to be ok though.

I'm slightly ADHD (OK, not slightly...) can someone save me/us the time to read something other than the last page and remind what time and what motel the group leaves Merrit? The Kamloops/Chase/Adams contingent is planning on leaving Loops at 8-ish to meet the group, whereever they may be.

As to the no booze rules...I'll drink to that. :slurp

I would NOT count on the "minimal chance of rain" idea if I were you:

I would suggest being prepared for a range of conditions, eh? Keeps things interesting.

GG (Michelle) and I and possibly IslandR will be leaving (hopefully) around 1:00 (pm) on thursday and headed up the Duffy to Lillooet then take Hwy12 to about halfway to Lytton, then make a b-line over the mountains (dirt :clap ) to Spences Bridge, and onward to Merritt. You're welcome to join us if you think that HP2 of yours can keep up with my KLR.. Or pass a gas station.. As if...:roflAnyways, if anyone is interested in joining us PM me and I'll PM back my cell number and a meeting place and time.

The Super 8 Motel is the departure point Friday morning.

The departure time is (gased & fed) 7:30 am.:deal DR650bc is a real pain in the ass about an early departure time. Personally, that sort of thing doesn't bother me.:augie
