Are you guys in favour of sticking with the time zone we are in now? https://globalnews.ca/news/5879906/b-c-daylight-saving-time-93-per-cent/ Looks like most are! Seems like quite the task to make the switch before November. My bet is next year.
YES, yes, yes!!!! Set it and forget it. Tired of the "spring ahead, fall back" BS. Don't bother to see what other jurisdictions do, just leave the time where it is now. What big task? Just announce that we aren't "falling back" this fall, and DONE! People deal with other time zones all the time.
I am all for it as well. I just wonder if industry and computer programs, etc will be able to quickly adapt... How will the poor I phone know what to do? In all seriousness I am hoping they can make this happen.
On computers one can disable "adjust to daylight saving automatically". Cell phones usually get their time from the service provider, that can be turned off. Set it and forget it.
Days are the same length just the start and stop points are changed. Little known fact......Saskatchewan is on permanent daylight saving time. Makes you kinda smile when there is an uproar there if it is suggested that DST be implemented. BTW - the old argument that the milk cows would be adversely affected is simply not true. They adjust in a couple of days, if that long. It is the people that take longer.
Yes. Please leave it at Daylight Savings. A little extra light, at the end of the day, in December, would save me a fortune in anti depressants... lol.
So this is in the domain of local government to decide? Then why oh why can we not just channel Creston?
I think it was during the last municipal election that there were noises made in Creston to scrap staying with one time year round. Saner minds prevailed (for now).
