I'm a big fan of the Ducati Enduro Pro with the sand colored rhino lined finish. Has anyone ever done this with the plastics or fuel tank?

    I'm confused, the R1200, or R1250?

Either way, a wrap would be les permanent, and look better. You can even get it in various types of camo.

Yeah I've looked at wraps... frankly I don't care for the R1250gs Adventure colors for 19 and 20... but I want to upgrade my '15 1200gsa...

Yes I was talking about the R1200/50gs either and both...

I've actually thought about the same thing. can't stand the new bmw colors. Still don't know what I'm going to do. The rhino liner thing would hold up to a lot of abuse. I know it comes in a lot of colors now aswell. I would do the whole bike, crash bars and bash plate aswell. I think it would be too thick for the pannier racks.....unfortunately. Prolly would make getting panniers on/off a pain if they went on at all. Actually wouldn't mind doing the panniers and top box aswell. Hmmm, there is some research involved here. Got me thinking now.

Yeah, that is a no on the pannier racks. You would not be able to get hard luggage on.

Just found out, you can get it in any color you want. They can even use a factory color code. Hmmm, rhino liner triple black.....hmmmmm

Depending on the luggage, you could file out the pucks. pretty much a no go on bumont though. Pretty sure I'm going bumont.
Side note, does bumont ever go on sale?

They do. You could remove the liner in key spots, but you would need to make some adjustments, spacers in a few key spots.

Gotta do some more research. Could just powder coat the racks to match I guess.

Is this for a GSA or GS that you would need to buy racks for? Mounting is a little different.

Not sure what happens in 2020.5, but they do some kind of update, hopefully new colors?

In '20.5? Probably not much... Shifty's were released in '19 with the color/options as they were and most likely there won't be much changing until new R13GS/A platform is out in ~'22/23 - we'll see what pans out...

Thanks, well we can get black wheels if we want to, and brushed aluminum fuel tank and wrapping options. Wish they would offer black GSA again.

If you start with Kalamata Exclusive GSA which already has dark grey tank like '17-18 Black GSAs, you can make yours black in no time... There are black GS giant tank decals available on Evil-bay (to cover Kalamata ones on the tank), you paint or wrap the Kalamata plastics black and there you have it - very little time and/or investment needed and you'd have your unicorn Shifty Black-on-black-on-black-with-black wheels... :D
