cool story and pix. My Spanish isn't wonderful either. I found the google translate app helpful. At least it helps me say things, but as far as understanding conversational Spanish it's not that helpful unless you have an online connection. I'm guessing from the pics you have mastered, "Donde estan las cervezas?"

Went back to the hostel and enjoyed a late night happy hour. Stephanie had to get to Cancun for her flight back to Germany and left in the morning. I decided to move from Pana over to San Pedro it was a good 1.5 hour ride
around the lake for me to find out the road was under construction between San Marcus and San Pedro. The man in charge of road construction security told me 2 days and it would be open. I went past him to turn around after a good amount of arguing and he almost shot me. Figured i could wait out 2 days in San Marcus until San Pedro even though i heard it was hippy central. I truthfully didnt know what I had got into...The people had lost there fucking minds. People shitting on there tomato gardens, sitting in the middle of the street rolling crystals on their face, i watched one guy in the pictures below twirl a stick around his head for 8 fucking hours with a joint in his mouth. I dont have anything against smoking a doobie every now and then but shit you still need to realize there is a world outside your head lol. Luckly I met some German girls that accidentally ended up here the same day and were not into the vibe of the insane people in the hostel so we just kicked it for the next couple days. It was a really bad ass hostel with an amazing view but the people were all totally insane so it was kinda a buzzkill.

Nice bike parking right outside the room though

The 2nd Night there was Drum Circle night......Yes i turned out exactly as it sounds. about 60 Hippies so high on LSD banging drums with no rythym for 5 hours straight. It was insane licking drumset, humping drumsets, crying, screaming, complete insanity. Luckly i found a table up top and played cards with the few normal people while watching the drum circle from afar. I woke up the next morning and headed to San Pedro. Pulled up to the construction checkpoint and was told that it woulld not re open until 2 more weeks. Ditched that plan and rode to the Iguana Perdida Hostel in Santa Cruz which turned out to be awesome.
