A little rain. Great day of riding with awesome singletrack.
We're headed for GA, currently right on the border of TN/GA. Only got in 90 miles yesterday but man what a great 90 miles!
Rode until 3 p.m. when the skies opened up then called it a day. Cheap hotel in Ducktown.
Rich enjoying a mountain monsoon.
safe travels Ginger Beard... you picked a helluva time for a ride...
What is this food? I don't recognize it. Is it a Southern thing?
It's an exotic Florida delicacy known as Alaskan Pollock and sweet potato waffle fries.
Man that doesn't look too good. Luckily I've had no internet so I've not planned for this.
Thanks for the heads up!
Haw! I was fooled by the sweet potato fries. Have fun!!!
Yesterday started out awesome but the end of the day had quite a bit of pavement as we left the SM500 and headed southwest on the SEAT. Still a great day but way more pavement than anticipated.
Wet most of the day but no rain.
Stayed at a camp site in Talladega NF. Rolled into camp well after dark, breaking my "no riding after deer thirty" rule.
Sitting at Burger Quick in Linville AL.
I gotta ask, how did you do that fender addition? I cut off the same area as you have from the OEM fender. But what did you use for that fender addition? Or did you buy it?
I used Kydex to make a plate mount.
In Opelika AL watching it rain.
Yesterday's ride was fast and fun with a couple of reroutes due to closures. Overcast most of the day but only a few sprinkles.
I'll get packed up and hit the road as soon as the rain passes.
Mellow day yesterday with a bit of mud along the way. Still had enough traction to keep a fun pace. 50/50 mix of dirt and pavement. Sunny all day.
Ended up in Bainbridge after heading to a campground that was closed. Wound up in another hotel bit scored a free dinner.
Decided to jump ship on the preplanned route and explore a bit. Enjoying the ride. Hoping to end at a state park tonight.
Stopped off at an RV campground to visit a friend after gaving to backtrack nearly 20 miles due to locked gates. Welcome back to FL.

In case any of you were wondering what a large adult Banana Spider looks like when you hit one at 40 mph, here you go.
Made it to Silver Springs last night. Neck is still pretty jacked up but I have a pocket full of ibuprofen so hah! Yesterday's ride was great if not a bit mellow compared to the last few. It's good to be back in my home state.
Today will be my last day on the road and I'll be cruising scenic byways to get back to my truck.
Picked up the truck around 4 p.m. , loaded up the faithful WRR and headed for south FL after a late lunch with @FL Pepper . Again, a huge thank you to @sanjoh for letting me store the truck at his house and to Sharon for keeping an eye on it (and rescuing it from bird attack ) .
Rolled into the driveway around 9 p.m. to smooches and a home cooked meal. It's good to be back.
I'll be sharing all of the details from my trip over the next fews days. Thanks to all for sticking around!
