    I'll be the first,
Hi my name is Philmeup, I ride a DR 650. I'm not from bendigo but I like the place. Can't say I know where to get a good pie but I recently discovered Heathcote national park and think its dam good riding out there.
Here's a pic, couldn't say which track but there's many like it. :)

GA did you get a clearance from the GTR to move over to CV?:lol3

St Arnaud to Moonambel on Centre track is good, Pyrenees, Mt Cole, and all the goldfields tracks to your south east.
Or east from the rifle range thru the Wellsford state forest
Forest patches all the way from one tree hill down to Ballarat and beyond
And close to the High country, I'd say you're in a good central spot
Has that 800 thrown that worn out chain yet?

There's a few of us in the district.

I'm over at Rushworth, but am out of action at the moment.

Apparently the Whipstick forest is pretty good, but you would need to talk to a local for more info...........

There was a couple from Heathcote that used to make regular trips through the forest to Rushworth. We have a great bakery in town, and a place called Moto finish Cafe if you're after 'home cooked' style food. (The owners are motorcycle crash repairers - small time- and opened the cafe under the same name) they have a range of motorbike memorabilia, and some clothes & riding gear in the cafe.

Give me a call (pm) if you are heading over this way & I will try to catch up.

Sold my gold membership in the GTR to prestonpaul .. Pretty sure he said the cheque was in the mail....

Looking forward to heading out moonambel way.. Couldnt make the weekend u lads went out there, but i kept an eye on your plans for future reference.. :deal

Yeah i recon its a good central spot.. Sorted a couple of dirt routes out to Maldon , one to Kyneton, one to Ballarat via Yandoit and a couple it east towards heathcote , rushworth and seymore... Pretty keen to have a poke about up to the Murray too..

Oh and still running the same chain :shog but in my defence i haven't really ridden it much since i popped in for a cuppa n chocy biscuit....

So what are your "new bike' plans?

Why go to Melbourne to get it? (if BMW, I understand)

BMW? Only if he is a slow learner!

There is a KTM dealer locally in Bendigo. I can see him on a 690! or a Tiger.

It would worry me if I was on a first name basis with the BMW mechanic. They would miss you Greg if you jumped ship!

Ummmm. No. I had the same issue once (years ago); can't remember why I even called them now.

I am usually pretty happy with the service when I go into the shop... most of my helmets have come from there.

Why are you wanting them anyway....:ear. Wanting to change to something green or red????

you're pretty set on me getting a new bike aint ya..!?! :lol3

nah, saw online they were a dealer of kriega gear... wanted to have a look at their overlander 15 bags.... went in...didnt have em... asked about em... "yeah we can get em in but such-n-such is the man for them and he's at lunch..give us ya number and when he gets back he'll give ya a call n let ya know whats happening..' 8 days later i walk in and start the conversation again....:ddog

i've only been in bendigo say 6 months... and i recon this has happen to me at least 4 times there, in that time........ :deal

i guess they're just lucky the yamaha place just tails me around like i'm a shoplifter, and the ktm/triumph joint must be a front for tax avoidance as they never have anything and never want to get anything...............

    rant over :lol3

Ask for Noel, I think he is still there.

I have been friends with the Elliotts for more than 30 years and they have always been great to deal with.

Maybe its changed since H, D and N sold out?
