I finally got a proper front end for the 250 . A disc brake front came up on EBay,I didn’t want to pay the shipping from Italy but it is the only one have seen after looking for a year and not being a drum brake it wasn’t $1000. It only took about 2 weeks to get. On the down side they just stuck it in a flimsy box with no packing and the fender got bent.

That should go straight on, now all you need is steering head bearings, a caliper, master cylinder and brake hose. Best of all it will still be authentic which will add to the value when you sell it. I'd check the wheel bearings, tire and rim closely as Italian chrome is not great.

The fork tubes fit the drum brake clamps which are nicer looking being polished, reversed the wheel to fit the NOS F05 caliper I have, shorten a Guzzi T-3 axle I have and fit a spacer and I should be good. I think.

The steering stem is different from the drum brake stem.
