Stop by for a beer or coffee when I’m back in a couple of months
Still living in Flagstaff, but we have our land outside of Chai Prakorn. We'll be building our own Great Wall of Thailand someday! Here's our one coffee tree, full of kittens.
all good things must come to an end at some point. Really enjoyed the write up but now I am left to ponder the great wall's progress.
Love to see some pics when it is done
Really enjoyed your report, sad that it's ended.
If you ever find yourself in South Africa, give me a shout
Really enjoyed this, looking forward to the next installment.
Wherever in the world it maybe...
Patty has been working hard on her Great Wall of Thailand while I’m away. Still a work in progress.
And she’s planted 400 more coffee trees.
I have three to four weeks more work then need to figure out the next ride. Parts and some new supplies are on order for both bikes. Not sure which one to ride...
Holy shit, that is an impressive wall
Patty says go big or go home. Hmm, she is at home? And she wants to go to Portugal. What to doing?
How soon do the trees produce beans?
Are you thinking of roasting your crop or selling them green?
We are told we should see some beans in a year but I don’t think it will be much. The second year we should get a return on investment. Third year profit. We will sell the beans green to start. There’s a bit of a learning curve involved.
thank you so much for sharing! you have a great writing style...... I look forward to travelling vicariously through you two more... cheers!
Finally caught up - thanks for an entertaining report!
Thanks for making the effort to post this RR.
Love seeing the pix and hearing about your life in Thailand-a country I fell in love with on my first visit in the early '80's.
I think Thailand is a contradiction. Kind of a love hate thing. I’ve chosen to ignore the parts I hate and enjoy the parts I love. Northern Thailand on a motorbike is paradise. Ride on.
Bike storage is complete. Come on Ed!
Thank you for such a fun and inspiring read. I’m a few years older than you, just bought 2 bikes after an 8 year hiatus from riding and looking forward to some new adventures. In a little different spot in life...elderly parents have passed with the exception of my mom who is at the door to her next adventure. When she transitions we will hopefully have a few good years ourselves to see and do what we have put off. Maybe Thailand will be in our future. Ask Patty if the Japanese are to her liking, my husband is 1/2.
The world would be a better place if everyone had a partner in crime like yours!
What a great report! I started at page 1 and couldnt stop until the end. AWESOME! I worked for 2 years near Phitsanlulok in Lan Krabu district - Kamphaeng Phet in 1979 - 1980. LOVED the country, scenery, people and culture!!!!
Thanks for sharing this! Awesome, awesome report. What a great riding partner Patty is. I would love to go back some day and ride a bike through that beautiful country.
Did Stelvio Pass on a bicycle, that count?
