Got some bike wrenching to do on saturday, but aiming to get out for a ride on sunday :ricky
Keeping it local for dad, so Father's Day brunch or lunch in Wrightwood sounds good :nod

Also itching to get out for a quick overnighter in the next few weeks and want to see if Blue Ridge / Guffy is open.

Got out for a nice father's day ride with dad last sunday :thumb
We were joined by Glen @r'elise me and Mike @pvt joker (until he had to split home for fatherly duties) :wave

Rode the full length of Lytle Creek divide starting from Nordstrom's warehouse and dropping down to Lone Pine Cyn at Gobler's Knob.

June gloom in the valley eventually cleared as we gained altitude
    [IMG]

    Dad on the pegs :clap
    [IMG]

Dropping down Applewhite above Mtn Lakes Resort
    [IMG]

Quick break along upper divide... lots of colorful flowers and good to see the hills still green :nod
    [IMG]

    Looking back down the ridge
    [IMG]

Lunch in Wrightwood at the Evergreen Cafe :dukegirl
    [IMG]

Corner table was a great spot for checking out all the unusual bikes in town that day
    [IMG]

Dad was riding well and having a good time, but didn't want to push himself too much, so he turned for home after lunch.

Glen and I continued out to end of Blue Ridge, where I noticed my camera lense wasn't opening anymore :bluduh
We hopped on Hwy2 for a bit, then took fun 4N56 from Vincent Gap around to Jackson Lake, and then back thru Wrightwood before heading home.

    :ricky

I've been thinking do a quick overnight campout in the next couple weeks, hopefully before 4th of July holiday.

Had my mind set on Guffy Campground, but they've done a lot of brush clearing along Blue Ridge, leaving the campground feeling a bit sparse :(

Still a great spot with awesome views, picnic benches, toilets, fire pits, and strong cell reception on the east side of the ridge.
First come, first serve and adventure pass required (though I have never seen a ranger checking).
~5 miles out a dirt road keeps it quieter than most any other camps along Hwy 2.

Open to other suggestions if anyone has any :ear

Got out for a nice ~120 mile ride yesterday, reversing much of what Glen and did last weekend, and adding a few other options.

Unusual to still see water flowing out of Lytle Creek this time of year
    [IMG]

Lots of blooming going on. Also very buggy and had to ride most of the day with face shield down.

Met this very cool striped racer/whiptail along lower LC divide :wave
    [IMG]

@headstaller Chu ... Sheep Creek is calling you :nod
    [IMG]

The 'USS McSlut' is still there...

... but the engine and drive have been surgically removed.

    Going to Guffy

    :(
    [IMG]

    End of another road
    [IMG]

Super nice up at elevation (other than the bugs), but I knew it would be warming up down below.
Took my lunch break at Guffy, then started cruising back towards home.
Felt like temps climbed 20+ degrees from the top of Lone Pine Cyn to the bottom :knary

    More than likely :deal

I'm fine with any place somewhat close to pavement and town so that others can easily join in :kumbaya

    That said...
Looks like I probly can't get out this next weekend (6/29-30) and would like to avoid the crowded holiday weekend (4/6-7).

My 950 is currently parked in Romona and I'm flying out Saturday. I'm looking to explore on Sunday if you want to pop over the hill. I was thinking about checking out Borrego. I haven't spent much time on the big bike West of Mojave so I'd be open to doing a big bike ride anywhere.
