doesn't look like it will be cooler there at high elevation after all. this weekend will be a scorcher, and only along the coast where it will be in the 90's .

my former 11’6 midget smith was a tandem board, but it worked great for a fatass like me!

    haven’t paddled out since 2009.

Can't remember his name. This was back when the Newbury Park BMW shop would put on monthly rides (sadly the new ownership decided to stop those true adventure ride gatherings.....now I think they only do random street rides). He rode a GSA back then. We had a pretty consistent group that would show up every month and we'd get some serious mileage adventure rides in..... wasn't uncommon to head back home in the dark. Good times. Anyway, he was a good guy and was an asset to the group in more ways than one.

Yeah...... they're called kayaks. You should be right at home with one since you definitely sit 2-up. :thumb

My wife and I went kayaking when we were first dating. When we got to the place, they asked if we wanted one 2-seater, or two 1-seaters. I instinctively said two 1-seaters, and my then date looked a bit miffed. After setting off and leading the way, it took an embarrassingly long time to turn around and realize her feet were up, paddle laid across her lap, and she had managed to tie her bow to my stern so I would tow her around without my noticing.

Now I insist we get a 2-man kayak and sit her in front so I can keep an eye on her level of effort :jack

Sounds like my wife. It's funny you mention that because I was going to suggest in my response to @Todd157k that maybe he could let his wife take the front seat for once. Lol

Kayak ready to go. Hit the marina last night. Nothing better than morning coffee on the water.

I live in La Canada (at the base of the 2N) and have ridden that road for years and yes, the weekend ‘racers’ are awful. I avoid weekends on the Crest too.
