*big bikes: 650's and up please.

    30571 Highway 79 S,
    Temecula, CA 92592-4821

    Leaving at 9.13 am.

A mixed asphalt and dirt ride.

Loop through Julian, exact route to be posted before the ride, but I plan to include some (if not all) of this route:Link

Note: Pie and coffee break at Mother's. :deal

I will be riding a bike I just purchased and am completely unfamiliar with, so I plan to ride conservatively.
All I ask on rides like this is that everyone rides within their own abilities, at their own pace. Please.

I do want to rack up some miles, so I'm not going to stop every mile and take a bunch of pictures, just looking for a good day in the saddle to start the year off right. :thumb

    Anyone interested? :ear

    Interested.

That is a great map that you referenced with some fast dirt sections.

Waiting to see the final route.

Very interesting, though I'll be camping farther south in the Anza-Borrego along with too many other big bike dual sport types...
    ...off pavement of course. :freaky

I was just talking about this with a buddy of mine (STFU, I have friends) and last year when we did a similar ride there was a good amount of snow up by Julian and Laguna.

Just something to keep in mind.

A lot actually up by Laguna. Our neighbors brought back a pick up bed full of the white stuff. Funny to see the kids in the neighborhood in shorts throwing snow balls at each other. :lol3

My wife has pointed something very significant out to me:

    1) We'll be getting back into town LATE on the 29th
    2) We'll be picking the dogs up from the kennel early on the 30th
    3) We'll be racing to L.A. and back to have Christmas with her family on the 30th
    4) I'll be getting up at 2am on the 31st to go duck hunting (no, I'm not cancelling it, the blind's been paid for, and I've blown one morning off already this season, and the other trip had 0 birds)

So, I'm not saying we won't be there...but I am admitting that the odds of us being there are significantly diminished.

I know you're all very very distressed by this news.

Don't get so excited Cathy. I'm pretty sure clothing is required at these hot springs.
