^ Yep, that's what I was going to do, but I saw that cool filter design and just HAVE to have one! :rofl

And it'll go on the XR650L, since the other dirt bikes really don't see any deep H2O.

^ When I was riding/racing overseas in the 70s, we had to do that to our bikes, as we always had deep H2O crossings when out trail riding, especially during the rainy season.

And for racing in mud holes like you see in the pic, that's me when I was 16! :D

Thanks, that was a great bike (an RM250).

It rained all night long before race day and when we got to the track in the AM, the track was under 6" of water. We all looked at each other and said F it, let's race.

So, we ALL got out on the track and rode for about an hour to push the water out of the way and churn it into mud, and it worked!

Then we raced, I wore glasses back then and I had to take them off and pitch them, I found them later after the race.

Fun times and lots of fond memories! :clap

    Too funny!

I looked over the vent lines on the XR650L and there are only 2 carb vent lines I need to do T mods on, so I'll just do it with extra tubing and Ts from Pep Boys and save some bux on the fancy filter.

The other 2 vent ports were plugged after I rejetted the carb. :D

Have a great ride tomorrow! I'm hitting Nukes for breakfast then taking the Vette for a drive!
