Rode a couple days in Big Bend, Here's a video on my experience.
Nice perspective on riding in Big Bend NP in my beloved Texas. The blue flowers you mentioned are called Big Bend Bluebonnets and that variation of our state flower only grows in Big Bend area of Texas. And can grow to 4 feet tall. The other variety of bluebonnets that grows in the Hill COuntry and other parts of the state are a completely different variety. This years BiG Bend Bluebonnets are the best bloom in many years. You picked a great year to ride Big Bend. Thanks for sharing your ride report. Nicely done.
I enjoyed your film. Beautiful country, lots of solitude.
I bet when you shut the bike off, the silence of those surroundings is nearly deafening. And a certain danger of "what if I broke down out here, right now"?
Great video and editing. When we were there last April all you could hear when you shut off the bike was the howling wind. I love the remoteness, but worried about what to do on the River Road if we broke down. Saw no one else once we left the Marsical mine.
Nice one mate, good tunes too.
I bought one of these ! I wouldn't go alone without it. That and lots of water, complete tool set, and both front and rear tubes.
