Originally my intention was to get out front and get photos of everybody at different places but between camera setting error and battery life, or lack there of,that didn't work out so well.

So here is what was salvageable, sort of

As it turned out I should have blown off responsibilities and stayed with y'all. Heading back on 33 a sportbike (at least I think it was, there was not much of it left) rider did a guardrail durability test that made a mess and had chopper using 33 as a landing pad, needless to say traffic was a mess most of the way back to the coast. I arrived back in SB not that much sooner than cabesa.

Had fun, made dust, killed bugs, met new people = great day. :clap

notice how i'm looking right at you, treadless? what you can't see is me mashing on the brakes cause i think i'm looking at a downed rider. (joel has done this to me before, too)

glad you were just taking pics.

oh, and for not riding carrizo in 4-5 years, like you said, you were keeping a great pace!

What about us poor people who can not effort a big bike and a small one???
If you do this in 2012 I'll be in. I need to save money for a small bike... :cry
What if I remove the 990 stickers from my Adv. So nobody will even notice it is a big(er) bike. :evil

From my riding around the Carrizo Plain, you could ride 99% of it with the bike you have. Given how good you seem to ride. Just slow through the tough spots. There are a couple of places that are deep sand. They are short in length but you need to know where there are.

I'm in. Depending on date. Will be riding F800GS. I have been to a few places out there, and see no real problem. If there is I'll go around it.

Better than the weatherman, ask the on-site expert how it is looking. Plan on a window of opportunity say 2 - 3 weekend window and have DDENNIS let us know when they are getting excellent. Maybe he will be availbe to ride with us. :evil
