Sounds really good to me
I am looking forward to the new BIG shop
I can't wait to have the barista stand up and running!
"Would you like a mocha with your GS today?"
Andrew hit the nail on the head, not much more to add.
Trials course in the basement or parking lot
There's some serious rocks along the west side of the property, we're already planning on how we're gonna jump our KTM's!
Trials course is shown on page 3, post #43.
I first met Squeaks Winter of '74/75.
His shop at that time was on Commercial Drive.
Here is a shot from April of '75 with a group of us headed down to Seward.
Would have killed for a set of HippoHands.
Heated grips???? What are they???
Recognize the coffee drinker standing near the Castrol sign??
In front of the old Portage Garage/Cafe.
Located (not now!) at the junction of Seward Hiway and Portage Valley Road.
My ride at the time...1975 Z1B.
Squeaks ordered in the WJammer and the very fashionable sissy bar.
How 'bout those "engine protection devices"?
Top notch farkle back in the day.
This shot dates me a bit.
Summer of 1975 near Valdez.
Fite...........the bikes look like a bunch of Penquins, huddled together, trying to stay warm!! Great shots of some nice, old Vintage Jap Iron....!!!
(BTW.......Glad you made it back to your World Headquarters after touring the Sub-48 down here. Y'all come back soon now, ya hear??!!)
mark444 in Burpinham, Bamie
Almost looks like the guy at the left front of the pic there.
I recognize the woman behind the bike windscreen.
Maybe I should have latched unto her when I had the chance.
Holy crap Fite, those pictures are awesome!
I bet you wish you still had that Z1!
If you guys have anymore, keep em coming!
I've seen one of my dad, Doug, hot rodding a police Harley in front of the shop, I'll try and find it.
Almost forgot about that place. Have some dim memories of the original Portage Garage when it was still operating.
And some right after it stopped on 3-27-1964.
The water had already receded somewhat.
Made it back safe and sound.
Great hanging with you at BVD.
Currently planning next year's gig which will include a few days in BHam.
Stay in touch. Fite
A few more headed your way Brendon.
Love the face shield.
This was taken a couple miles north of Campbell's knife shop.
Kenai Lake is off to the left of the rider.
Speaking of old Kawi's...... my BIL bought his 900 the same day I bought mine.
Still has it.
Portage Lake Rd if memory serves me right.
BIL in white helmet right side.
Color has washed this pic out.
Can't quite tell if this was my blue bike or BIL's maroon one.
