That's my reasoning with the BigFat. I just used whatever was available and it happened to 200cc. But I have three Honda ATC125M that I could have used instead. But those motors (ironically) are earmarked for a CT90 I'm bulding. (stalled, will return to it eventually)

I was just checking out some Rokons the other day and came across this little gem. Seems there are plenty of these little horizontal motor swaps into Rokons. This one seems to run good.

Righto in anticipation of this crusty swingarm turning up i pulled my finger out and painted the rims
I am going to cheat for a bit and bolt it up to my going postie .So a offset sprocket of 35mm is required.Time to find a old mainshaft and a couple of stuffed sprockets and cobble up a outrigger.

    Well the swingarm turned up.
Description before i seen it ,should clean up all right with a coat of paint. Hmmmm
At least the bolt is ready to use .
Will start the cleaning process and see if it's salvageable or just a donor for axle plates and setting up a jig.
The plan is to add 50mm in length and some points for a jackshaft to be bolted up.

Oh crap Will . . . . like you said it will give you the design and plates.

I added 100mm and think that could work better than 50mm especially if you are looking to add a jackshaft down the track. Im running a 25x8x12

I just ordered a headlight from him and it was a wee bit rusty too LOL

It looked better on the phone than the PC :lol3

Yes i can see how 100mm would work.I will see where everything sits guard wise.Might roll the edge a bit to give me more room for tyre.
How thin is the bush mounts on your swingarm Perry ?The one i got the bush sleeve is thicker than whats on the swingarm lol.Found new bushes cheap and it looks like a couple of alternator bearings could be used as to convert to bearings if needed.
I now have 4 different swingarms to chop up :drif and a 4 month timetable to complete the thing :imaposer
Probably should pull the dual range down will the swinger is soaking

Couple days in vinegar and we have a hole. One of the shock mounts is stripped too.Looks like i can use the back half not to much metal fatigue there.
    Slowly slowly.

It did clean up ok. Impressive how the vinegar worked

The RV125 swingarm is all light gage steel Will. The frame is too. So puting 30HP through mine should be fun :1drink

There was a guy who put a TS400cc two stroke into an RV125 . . . . dont think the frame will last long on that :muutt

    Chopped the swinger
    Needs 75mm added
Now to use new tube up front or cut out the crossbrace, rusted thru in a couple of spots, and use the front part of the rails.......

    Half a swingarm....
Turned a bit of tube to take some bushes and made the extension a press fit over the last bit of the rv swingarm
Next is workout where the jackshaft will sit then go visit @DRjoe for some bits to make a bearing carrier .

How good is to have a mate like @DRjoe .
Few conversations today with some ideas about jackshaft and location.
Pretty cool idea of running the jackshaft on the swingarm pivot bolt.
Would work great and have no chain issues with tension and travel.Only problem is the dual range box doesn't allow enough room ...bummer.Talking offsets etc and then a bit later Joe sends some pics through of the jackshaft sprocket he knocked up out bits he had.Freakin Awesome mate thanks, i know your busy lad and probably should of been laying glass mucho appreciated.

20170123_172251.jpg 20170122_165101.jpg 20170122_164701.jpg More work done.Looks like mounting the jackshaft on the swingarm can stay.Clears a single range motor great ,chain tension is good and a nice clean system.Hits the dual range box but the solution to that is to make a set of engine mounts and push the motor forward to give sprocket clearance.
