If you want to go be ready to sign up Sunday morning, we sold out in 1 day last year I expect that to happen again or faster this year. looking forward to seeing everyone in Wabeno WI dual sport capitol of the world!

I'm trying to sign up for the ADV route, there's 6 spots left, but the site seems to be down. ???

EDIT: It started working some 10 minutes later. I'm signed up for the ADV Bike Ride, sporting a 1290SAR.

Will the ADV Ride have a roll chart, or will it be GPS-only?

Might there be a collective opinion on how one should think to proceed here, as I presently do not have a GPS. Options, I would think, would include getting one quickly and getting used to it quickly, or tagging along with a group of riders. Are there any Adventure Riders gathering into a Group, by any chance, that could use one more rider?

Smart phone with a free app and a handlebar mount works great.

Got a suggestion for the free app? Are there multiples from which to choose and is there a general preference for one over the rest?

    (Please forgive my GPS-NOOB'ness.)

    Apple or android?

    Omsand

Locus maps (I use the pro version but it does take a while to learn.

If you just search for gpx navigation app you will find several. When they release the gpx track file for the bw200 then download it and see which app you like best.

    Cheers

Most apps are available for either phone but some aren't is why I asked. I use android so I can't help much with apple. It is nice to be able to use a free app instead of buying a gps.

There will likely be other riders willing to show you the way. Take a couple laps around the fairgrounds before setting up your tent and try to find some folks on similar bikes. Beware of an army green KTM 950ADV or the 950SE parked next to it. If you follow Craig be ready to get pelted in the chest and face with Earth.

I'm a newer rider who will me finding my way with a smartphone GPS app. I have a more experienced acquaintance who will have a GPS. Not sure if we will ride together the entire time or if I will need to drop back. I bet there will be enough people helping each-other along.
