One thing to note when looking at this picture, my bike's not taking centre stage.
Was that in southern NV?
I feel like I've been there before.
Valley of Fire, NV
Yes. It is on the trail up to Wheeler Pass outside of Pahrump, NV
I've been to so many places out here I'm beginning to forget all of the details like that rock.
Are these rocks big enough?
Maybe not as big as western rocks....but colorful!

This one's pretty big.
better than tent sized rock amongst a sea of rocks.
not far behind that rock was the location of a small warming fire, until forest ranger Jane informed me that a metal pit was reqd. (for not wanting to scorch the earth, fair nuff) I pleaded a lack of water and was allowed to let it just die down and go out and after a few more sticks it did. perfect. (and it was dead out!)

This last pic shows this clayey dirt here... Yes it gets very slick, yes it gets very sticky in places, yes it does dry from those 2 former cases above and turns into ~perfect bubble-gum traction, and no, it does not ever get very dusty... It's AOK for me.
