Same bike, minus the AGIP sticker.
Owning this was like being connected with a runway model, when she was hot, it was hot. When it was not, well.....
3 of so many that I wish I still had.
These 2 ended up being exported to JAPAN
KTM 950 SE. Miss this fun toy.
Sold to finish bike shop build.
I needed to get my hands on some cash quickly when I saw a bike that came up on eBay, which I really wanted to buy for my collection, so I sold my 1979 Honda XR500. This XR500 only had 3.5k miles on the clock, she was a one owner bike when I bought her, and I did a lot of work and spend a lot of money to get her looking and running like she did. I sold this bike about three years ago, and I still could kick myself today for having done so! I should have just charged the additional money I needed to buy the 1997 MG 1100 Sport onto my CC! I hope that my old XR will one day come up for sale on eBay, so that I can add her to the stable again!
I still have the 1979 XT500 sitting in the barn.
This is the 7k miles 1997 1100 Sport I bought with the help of the funds from selling the XR. This 1100 Sport was on display at a Wisconsin Motorcycle Museum for most of her life and ended up being auctioned off during a liquidation sale after the museum declared bankruptcy.
I got this bike at a great price, so selling the XR to be able to buy the 1100 Sport was a bitter / sweet experience!
At Hells Canyon overlook.
The first street bike I ever owned, a KZ 750 Twin. It had a powerband as flat as a board and suspension that was sprung like a screen door closer. The starter wasn't strong enough to turn it over and I thought the kickstarter didn't work. After 2 years of bump starting it, I learned you had to pull the clutch in to engage the kicker. I sold it for $1 per CC. A guy I worked with told me that I would be sorry that I sold it, I thought he was crazy. 10 years later I now realize he was right...
Of all that have come and gone this one might be my biggest regret . I only rode it once . Kept for a while and sent out to Kansas , I know it’s still there .she was the real deal . A genuine CB1100RC , in the photo she is wearing an RB tailpiece . I bought a lot of extra tanks and fairings .
I don't have any bikes that I regret selling, but I just listed one in the flea market that I almost hope doesn't sell
I would have loved to have kept all of the bikes I've had over the years but the RF is one that I miss a lot. Good looking, quick and reasonably comfortable. I did 3 x 1,000mile in 24hour rides on it and survived...
Pic is from an excursion that took in about 20km or so of gravel...
I bought a black w/purple wheels RF 900 brand new in 94', great bike, it took me to a lot of cool places.
From one extreme to the other ……… but they were both a hoot and will be missed too the max
I've got a friend who still has his. He says it's one of his favorite bikes. He has 22.
I need to be that guy...
