1. Hey everyone, We’re going to start a weekly email to surface interesting threads in the forums. No worries, you can easily unsubscribe if you don’t find it interesting. If you’re like me, it’s nice to have someone willing to poke around a big community like ours and find the most interesting stuff. Saves time and I hate missing something great. It worked really well when we had someone discovering the best photos for the home page rotation back in the day. And if you have something fascinating to post, maybe this email does everyone some good by getting it noticed. Let us know what you think when you get it. Your feedback will make it better as we go (thread). Thanks! Baldy & rudy1220

Five of my last six bikes have been Triumphs. Prior to that, mostly Japanese bikes from the big four. I always loved the looks and lines of the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200, but they're one of those bikes that you just don't see on the streets, and honestly I never imagined owning a Guzzi either. Last year when I found out that they were discontinuing the Griso due to not being able to meet the new Euro emission standards for 2017, I decided to go take a look at one in person. There were only three new ones available in the state, Tampa, Miami and Sanford. Went to the Tampa dealer and theirs was a demo model that was pretty beat. Called Sanford and they said theirs has never been out of the showroom and was spotless. So we discussed price and I made the two hour drive. When I saw it, it was as I had always seen online, gorgeous. So, they asked me If I wanted to take it for a test ride, and since it was a end of the year 2016 model, they had it discounted $1500 off regular price, yeah, they knew I wanted it. Took it on a short 5 mile ride and bought me a new Christmas present then and there, and yes, I had brought my trailer with me. So now with a year of riding it, I can honestly say as far as fun factor goes, its the best bike that I've ever owned and I still get that stupid looking grin on my face every time I mount it. I've had better sport touring & touring bikes, better sport and adventurer/trail bikes, but as an all arounder, this is it. Does anyone else have one of those bikes that you just don't see on the streets everyday?
