Ohhhhh, the fabled Benelli Fire Engine! Gear driven dual overhead cam shafts, liquid cooling and oil pumps driven off the same, and supercharged. Yet only single leading shoe brake front and rear. Note the heel-toe shift lever to allow up-shifting while leaned over without capturing the foot underneath.
    Thanks for sharing this, Boxa.

Here is the original, the one in my pic is hand made in Australia, so the curator of the bike museum in Peterborough told me.

The MCNews article says that the one in the Binelli Museum is the "sole example of the supercharged 250/4" If you compare the pics you can see some small differences.

Bacon slicer 500cc Moto Guzzi single and a 1975 bevel drive Ducati, both for sale at the Barber Vintage motorcycle festival swap meet. Sucks being a peasant...

I owned a moto identical to this and it was the first 125cc I had. Had an Italian Minarelli engine. Would smoke my Elisnore on top end.

I still remember how much I hated that leaking gas cap but the sound of an un-silenced open expansion chamber screaming through the woods more than made up for it!

From 1990 to 1993 BMW imported a little over 700 K1's to the U.S. I have no idea how many still exist but I once owned this pristine '92:

Always liked that K1! I was just at Barber Motorsports last Friday and saw one in the Red/Yellow colors on display. Gorgeous bikes!
