Now you might be onto something there!
Here's my girlfriend near the Grand Canyon with her 81 Honda CM200T. She just got her next bike, a 91 Suzuki GS500.
Here is my lovely wife this past weekend up on Kelly Stand road with her XCountry.
My sweetie has enjoyed riding pillion since we met, and just about a month ago took the MSF training and got her first bike! It's a 2009 Suzuki TU250X, new to the US market, retro-look fuel-injected little cutie! She's only 5'1" tall so it was tough to find a real motorcycle that fit her well. It's a sweet little bike and she's really enjoying riding on her own now, but still isn't ready for the highways. We were out riding around the 'hood and came across our neighbor on his REALLY retro 1936 Indian Scout; he thought the little rice burner was very nice!
Luckily we live in an area where there are a zillion miles of beautiful back country roads for her to practice on.
It's so cool to see The Fire lit in someone you love, eh? It's been burning in me for ~47 years now; the TU250X was my 44th bike purchase!
Was at this spot over the weekend, small world?
I'm suddenly reminded of an episode of The Family Guy.... Wait for it.
We are also a couple. My husband Toni rides both a Honda Africa Twin and a Suzuki DRZ400 and I (Nina) ride a BMW F650 GS and a Suzuki DRZ250. We enjoy both off-road and road long trips.

Just for fun we dressed for the occasion and ended up being offered a couple of free meals in restaurants - but that was thirty years ago

You were lucky!, the hotel only offered a bottle of champagne to us as just married... the meals would surely be delicious!
We are still regretting to didn't think to take the camera with us, you have a nice memento instead.
(my excuses again for my English, I hope to improve my skills soon)

Last bike she rode on with me was back in the late 80s. Daughter was born and that stopped all rides for wife. Oh well, daughter rides with me, but she is in college now.
