I have found a bike I am interested in buying... in Nelson BC! I am in Vancouver and really have no way to make the trek to Nelson right now to check out whether this thing is even worth looking at. Bit of a long shot but this forum is pretty cool, and stranger things have happened... anyone in the Nelson area who knows what to look for when buying a bike interested in going to check it out and send me some photos/videos? Send me a PM if so!
That's the issue... I am trying to figure out if there is any way I can make it work.... I would have to truck and trailer the bike back, but not sure I want to go all the way up there sight unseen... I have done it as far as Kelowna... Nelson seems a bit out of reach.
Hey. A second opinion! Jay. If you PM’d me, as I went to open it poof! The message vanished. Send again?
Didn't PM...however, as soon as I have ten minutes I'll add a meaningful post to your WR thread......
A third opinion. You know, I like this. Three guys show up to check out your bike. At least two have never met before. And, none have met the guy who called you but they all assure you, they know each other on the Intrawebs! Which reminds me ... Some years ago, a tall, striking, female mod, on this very site, came to visit me from the USA. We had never met, but enjoyed our online company AND banter. At the boarder (border) she was asked where she was going. “To visit my friend in Castlegar” How do you know him? “Through a motorcycle website”. Apparently, the Canadian Boarder guy cautioned her about internet fiends etc etc. But waved her through. Since then she has been known as my Internet Girlfriend by my wife and daughter. And a forever friend. DD
I asked one of the 'Saturday morning at the Dominion' guys (he has quite the stable) to help. He's not on this forum. We're closest if the ad has the right post code. Or we could show up en masse.
I was looking at a bike up there not too long ago. They told me they have someone coming down here all the time and can get a bike to the lower mainland for a hundred and fifty bucks. Worth asking. You’d spend more than that in gas. (Sweet KTM BTW)
