You haven't seen Mad Jack's handiwork in his section yet.
A bit of rain and a little mud tracked on it should make it slick as snot.
Good, just like last year then.
SUPER "G" you callin me out on the fine art of trail making.....again...
O-well most of the club was out sunday attacking the vegetation to give ya'll a hella good trail for the 3rd.
Want to remind everyone that pre-registration will be done Saturday as they
MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN 10-19-19
nuff said on that subject.
Moose thanks for the good words earlier, looks like you're enjoying Mi. except for that tornado! Lots of good memories of ccc trails between Newaygo and Cadillac back in the 70's when it was true single track.
In, checks in the mail today. Just squeezed by. Looking forward to it again.
Took you that long to scrape up three bucks...
Yup, Layton loaned me the cash. He's on a fixed income so it took a few extra days for his retirement check to clear...
Very true but I don’t want you to miss out on all the fun.
OK men pre-registration is officially closed!!!! Now if you did sign up DO NOT FORGET YOUR CURRENT AMA CARD AND PICTURE ID on event day or bring the $37 you tried to avoid.
On to good subjects the Brush Popper army was swelled sunday by Layton, Marty, and Jim Sunday to once again put a brutal assault on Whiteside Co. timbers. Opening up last years trails and cutting new trails in some areas not touched in decades. Our Road Captain Ray Ray served us up a good lunch of meat missiles and sides. After which we lost some help but soldiered on till almost dark. My afternoon crew of six were in an extra mean section of forest that ran our brush cutter and chainsaw into their second tank of fuel making a trail out of walls of brush and fallen trees that rabbits would not venture through. Towards the end five people started a "I hate Mad Jack fan club" by the time we quit. But damn it we got a few more tenths out of that thicket of hell. One phrase I kept hearing from the back of the pack as I was cowhearsing Ray Ray to make a hole in one of the walls of brush with the chainsaw was "damn it get that chainsaw back here we can't make this AA trail! ".... I'll just plead insanity, who would try to argue with me I'm NUTTS!
Get ready to Roost in the Tight single track on Nov. 3rd.
The last time we saw Jack and his crew they were disappearing into a deep dark jungle. I’m surprised they ever got out.
Before you guys panic the sections we worked on in the morning were a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to riding them.
So I don't need my trials bike? Bummer...
2whlrcr Let me think about that......well I would rather be on a trials bike than anything bigger than 500cc. Now that I said that it is well known we don't make trails for beginners. This ride has been best described as a untimed enduro. There will be logs (not huge but not sticks),creek crossings, bridges, tight woods, you know the fun stuff. Mkay?
Will a trials bike roost?
So yer saying I should probably toss my handguards back on my bike........
I remember a few years back when Ray Cosgrove rode a trials bike at Leaf River. He was hauling and going far faster then he should have been on that bike.
I don’t think 2wheelchairs wants to ride that speed on his trials bike.
I like to win the ride, so I will bring my KTM...
Goreman all I'll say is I like handguards.
This year we are going to have some very cool 50 anv. T-shirts for sale for $20
Hope that worked?!? Will also have leftover shirts from last year at $10.
As a big bonus for our 50 anv. We will also have a surprise give a way on a first come basis till they are gone. As in get there early if you want a very cool freebee.
I got motivated after organizing my gear the other night. Should be OK
Well shit once again I prove no puter skills,1 more try.
You suggesting we dress like McQueen for the ride?
Since I owned all of these bikes, I guess I have to get one of those t shirts.
