Left or right?
Does that question even need to be asked? Even left was doable on a streetbike.
It's best to try to make it enjoyable for all.
The 4 inches of rain today should help knock down the dust.
For once, we did not get rain here. Riding today.
My trail section work report from last weekend. Added a few pallets (and have more planned, thanks Mother Nature) to a few sketchy crossings, ran down numerous weed infestations with the ATV trail drag and got to give my new electric chainsaw the acid test. After a strong half inch of rain the night before Sunday conditions were, uh... slippery. But my nephew (a youngster with all of 298 miles total off road experience on his bike) with TKC 80 tires went almost everywhere we pointed him with only a few incidents of assistance. Here is a shot of him navigating 'The Sluice"
Turns out he is an arrowing machine. By the time I got through riding the path with the ATV and drag he was walking right behind me finished up marking. Ah to be young again. Things are shaping up and despite the wet conditions the pre riding had some really fun sections. No, they were not mine Jack.
So.....what's the current snow report.
Everyone have their studded tires mounted?
Guess that's better than yellow.
I'm thinking I should.....but won't.
The forecast is for 45 degrees on Sunday and you are talking studded tires?
The final word the event is ON!!
Yes we had snow, yes its cold (cool?),and yes the Dual Sport will run Sunday Nov. 3rd. As the kids say way to much...IT IS WHAT IT IS!
One more reminder if you pre-entered bring your photo ID and AMA card failure to do this means you pay the additional $37. Our man OGRE is in charge of everyone who pre-entered and the big man's word is final. I will mention out of 143 entries 12 are in question? I pity the fools! Sign up will be up and running by 7am and you can leave out after that.
Show that you gotta pair come on out and roost.
apologies to the fairer sex.
I see your facebook notes that gas location is located on back of the info\flyer. Same place as last year, listed on the site?
A G the fuel stop will actually be about 1/4 mile west of the map location still on Clover rd. do to crop issues. there will be signs as we are using the same old hand out.
Gas stop on a 40 mile loop?
I thought KLR's had a better range than that?
Last year I only had a 1.9 gallon tank. I can probably make it now on a 2.6
Fuel stop is for those who need it. Very few should but we had trials bikes and things like A. G. is riding and we would rather plan for them instead of dragging them out on clean up.
Well, Jack called us out so it's on now. See you there in the AM. Laytons bringing the donuts.
all I can say is; I will be there! That is with nano pain relievers applied in advance:
