Anyone have any not-too-technical dirt or twisty/scenic road rides around the Black Hills. Will be there in a couple of weeks and have toured a little around Hot Springs and Rapid City on my road bike - done Spearfish Canyon too. Looking for easyish dirt for a loaded down KTM 990. Any rides that may be less obvious than glancing at the map? My searches here are turning up zero so far.

For the road scenic twisty category Spearfish Canyon is a must do.

Stop by the Moonshine Gulch Saloon in Rochford.:beer Plenty of awesome riding all around there. My wife and I spent 3 or 4 days riding that area last fall.

these guys have the trail down: http://www.dakotadualsportriders.com

Northern Hills: from Spearfish Canyon Rd at the Lodge, Co Rd 222 to Wagon Canyon Rd (105) to Grand Canyon Rd. and you hit Beullah Wy. You can make your way to Devils Tower via dirt too.

Naturally Terry Peak summit Rd. (short easy) great view from the top if you walk up to the lookout tower. Between Lead and Cheyenne Crossing.

but check out the DDSR site.
