If anyone has a wife or SO complaining about the lack of a backrest for the 35Liter topcase, you have probably discovered that Corbin makes one and supposedly you can buy a stock rest from BMW although no one ever could get a price for me. So instead, I had one made through Big Twin BMW in Boise. It was done by a seat maker in the Seattle area and it is very comfortable and well made. He uses a high density foam over a formed aluminium plate. He added the bottom "flap" that folds down when you open the lid, but I don't think it is necessary and I may remove it. Cost is $160 and delivery is when ever he gets around to it. I like it because it looks like it came with the case...WHICH IT SHOULD HAVE...are you listening BMW?:evil
