I believe Bmw/husky only made them 08,09,10… I’m fairly certain that anything made after 2008 was ~240 NM

tim over at the g450rider forum would know. I’ll reach out.

Rode some epic Colorado singletrack this last week on the G450X.
It was one of those trips where you're trailering out and wondering if you really want to keep your bike or sell it and get something else. Told myself that I'd make the decision after the trip. Well, lemme tell you the bike performed flawlessly.

I recently did a chain/sprocket swap and swingarm bearings (while I was in there). On a whim I went to the 14T front I had in the parts bin instead of the 15T I had purchased with my 51T rear. The bike was an absolute tractor in the Rockies. STEEP trails were no sweat at all. Rarely did I even have to feather the clutch.

    Here are a few pics

Those are all stills grabbed from my go pro vids of the trail. Unfortunately the card crapped out and I'm now unable to get the videos. Truly an epic ride and I regret not having the vids so I can experience the vistas again and actually appreciate the exposure. You have to stay pretty focused on the narrow trail...

Calico Trail (upper and lower) near Rico, CO. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/sanjuan/recreation/recarea?recid=42792&actid=50

The 2nd to last pic is Rough Canyon trail in the same area. Brutal switchbacks. I did recover the videos of that trail and they are here, unedited: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRGkox_EyR-NRF1K2NyUT811i-K8lZi4_

Got the Torque Limiter in the bike and got it all patched up.

It was a bitch to get the nut off the Clutch Basket. Not sure if there is another trick to it, but I took off the left side cover, gripped the stator bolt with a 17mm socket & wrench & used a impact driver to remove it.

Then, when I had to reattach it, it was equally a pain. I used an impact driver again, but not wanting to over torque it, I did my best use a large torque wrench...I got it to move a little, but not sure if I got the 80 NM. There is plenty of bleu loctite. But the engine, and but extension, the clutch basket rotates backwards, so that means the torque will be spinning the nut/basket assembly in the left-ward direction. So, that is always a concern.

    Thoughts?

New torque limiter making the girl feel good!
Also, new battery, wheel bearings, oil, and coolant.

Where (possible another make/model) can I find a replacement throttle tube for my 2011 TC449? I can't find any fitment on the Motion Pro site, Zip Ty, Fleabay or RMATV website.

    Howdy team,
How is everyone carrying tools on their bike? I'm accustom to rolling with a fairly good tool kit when I ride (I'm typically solo and I've always learned to self rescue.)

With my other ride, F800GSA, I have a rear rack and pannier racks, so it's easy to rig up my Fatty Tool roll and a bag with tubes.

    Ideas?

Wolfman enduro lite tank bag holds basic tools, siphon hose, zip ties, phone charger, and personal effects. Giant loop possibles bag on rear fender holds two tubes, spoons/axle wrenches, trail stand, and hand pump.

    Hey team,
    I’m looking for some pics!

    I’m looking for a picture of a g450 with a g650x(X-Challenge, X-Country, or X-Moto)) or HP2.

I know I’ve seen a couple on ADV rider of the three platform together. I know I met a guy who had all three a few years ago.

I’m writing an article for the site about the X-series and and inmate’s pictures would be a helpful demonstrative aid!

    Thanks guys! Ride safe

    Oh buddy! I'm sorry.

There aren't any more New Old Stock in existence. I know this is a sought after piece. I've seen some people part out there bikes after this...Hopefully someone replies with a unit.

    Good luck, keep us informed.

Is this the dreaded stator bolts issue? Curious what you’ve learned from the necropsy.

For parts, I encourage you join the g450x owners fb group. There are parts listed there often, including the unobtanium ones like Dakar takeoffs. :evil
