So I recently bought a G650X challenge BMW, and I wasn't expecting snappy 450 throw you off the bike power, but I was expecting to atleast be able to pull off easier. The bike is alright in the dirt, but I feel like I'm lacking something in the bottom end,

Would a smaller sprocket in front help with that? And if I were to go one sprocket down would I lose a hell of a lot of top speed?

For those wanting to get one, I love it .it sounds amazing, runs really well, just wish I had more bottom end .

I had the XM street version, and loved it. It's one of the bikes I wish I hadn't sold.

JT sprockets are cheap on ebay.
All the 650s use the same one.

i have the XCountry and it's gutless compared to my KTM 640. but with 70 mpg economy and smooth motor, i'm loving the XCo. thanks eakins, i will go with the -1 tooth front sprocket. cheap upgrade....:lol3

Before looking into sprocket changes, are you sure your bike is healthy? Does it ride similar to others?

Before you buy any old sprocket, make sure that it will fit the G650X series bike. I'd assume the front might work, but the back has a different bolt pattern.
