Did you enter proper details in "bike check" tab?

I just checked the site myself: 2 styles of foot pegs are available, ION and EVO, and both are shown as "fit"... :hmmmmm

Personally I won't use an alloy foot peg off-road.

Yes, it was BMW Atlanta (now Woolys Cycles). They just called a few minutes ago and stated there is no recall on the adjustable footpegs. There was, however, a request made by BMW at the end of 2020 to send back all available stock. This was not due to a recall though.

Looks like I'm good to go back to pretending I'm good enough to ride anything tougher than a fire road. :muutt

Hopefully BMW Atlanta changed more than their name. As for failing footpegs, hold on to them. My bet is there will be a real resolution sooner or later.

Just saw this thread and went out and looked. Cracks forming on both pegs. Purchased July 2019, and I've stood up on them maybe 2-3 times; ~6k miles. Very disappointed at about $325 for the set.

Spotted a pair of those SW Motech pegs on eBay. I think $65.

They were just listed as pegs for an R1200GS and not by the brand.

A quick powder coat and new rubbers and you’d be all in at less than $100.

    No affiliation, just a fan.

Contacted Gilles Tooling (Germany) as mentioned in an earlier post via email and they quickly responded with a warranty form asking for basic info and pictures which I supplied. They responded that these weren't their pegs, and I should contact the selling dealer.
Contacted the selling dealer and they were unaware of any problems. They did however offer a replacement/refund since it was less than 2 years since purchase. I'll take them in and see what I get...

I have a pair on my 2018 GS. Cracking on the left peg! Time to talk with my local dealer.

I just check mine and I noticed that I have cracks in my right peg. I bought them from Max BMW in July 2018. I just sent them an email with the pics and a copy of my receipt. I'll update when I hear back from them.

Anybody out there have issues with the gold ones? Curious, since that’s what I’ve got... seems like it’s only a batch of black ones as OP mentioned…

Sure look exactly like the ones they sell on their website unless they are just a reseller for them https://www.gillestooling.com/produ...nduro-foot-peg-set-explorer-driver-black?c=33. They even have their GG logo on them.

I have the gold ones and have had no issues. Installed at the dealer day 1 in 2017. Stand on them all of the time.

Yea ... that’s weird. Maybe it’s a rubber pad detach problem with the one lot that came in that color ? Any Mfr bulletins?

Here's the email I got back from them after seeing the same pictures as in my post. Taking them back to the dealer tomorrow, so maybe I'll be able to add more details.

    "Hello Mr --------,

    thanks for your information.

Now it is clear that this is not a GILLES product of our own line, it is a BMW item bought by third party. In such case please contact your seller to go ahead with the process and they will take care about it.

    Best regards

Who was the dealer listing the recall? I have yet to hear anything back from my local dealer.
