Fellow PNW Riders. Amid all the cancellations and closures, I am thrilled to say that the opening of our new BMW Motorcycles of Seattle is still on schedule on June 1st. The new, BMW exclusive, full service center: 11536 Lake City Way NE 98125. Our building is next door to Seattle Mini, to the south. We look forward to serving the locals again in the spirit of the good old Ride West. Stay tuned for more updates and spread the word.

    Glad to see this announcement!

I had “heard it thru the grapevine” this was in progress but didn’t want to take away anyone’s thunder.

BTW, just checked and (at least) Apple Maps shows the old location. You’ll want to get updated with them and Google Maps!

Really excited for you, and it sounds like a return to what made Ride West so well loved. Looking forward to checking it out.

@villa.nord , since you just joined AdvRider today, nobody knows you. Can you fill us in on what's happening? Were you associated with Ride West? NobleRush? Crow? Somebody new who bought the name from the bankruptcy court? Any of the Ride West sales crew or service crew coming back? Not looking for trade secrets here, but we're sorta in the dark. What's going on?

PS-since you're new, I'll let you know, because I tagged your user name with the "at" symbol, you automatically get a red box informational notification in the upper right corner of the screen when you log in. That's what that is all about.

Still the only post from Villa.nord. However, I drove by the new address yesterday and it's in full blown remodel that looks like they'll be pushing to make that June 1 date. Understandable if he/she is too distracted from posting on here...

I drove by this morning but forgot the address and wasn’t sure if it was the brick building or the white older building. Looking at google maps I guess the brick one? Anyway now they will be 1.5 miles from my home. Pretty happy about that.

It's brick. I think the sign says "Autos NW" or similar. It's not easy to see from Lake City Way without signage. I actually pulled through the Mini lot on my GS (almost got hit by a service guy whipping a Mini around in reverse) and saw the address on the building. The lot is filled with Mini's and other vehicles. Looped back through and saw some of the construction crew eating lunch out of the back of a pickup. Looked inside and noticed two-thirds of the crew weren't on lunch.

Not sure if villa.nord is being intentionally vague at this point, so I'll carefully say the chances are very good that you already know him; and he definitely knows BMW. The building's neighbors should give a clue on the new ownership, who have ties to BMW going back 50 years.

So, a single-line, locally-owned shop with a long-established brand relationship... a unicorn in the current motorcycle business landscape. Good stuff.

@villa.nord a shop opening instead of closing is good news indeed. I hope you take the time to post updates and get to know some of the folks here when you can.

The best of luck for a successful dealership.

Okay, with all the theories going on out here, I got permission from the source himself to let you all know George will be Service Manager at the new dealership.

maybe this will calm a few if you down.
