Both nature and information abhor a vacuum. Communication 101, provide information or people will make things up to fill the void. Not a good sign of knowledgable business people in my book. Please prove me wrong.

im not sure you’re wrong, but not sure you’re right in this case.

for example, if they say they’ll open June 15, but they don’t, it probably does more damage than saying nothing at all.

At this point people should be happy to note that 1) there’ll be a new BMW dealership not far from the last and 2) there will be a service manager many of us know and respect. The rest will just work out over time.

I have heard it will be more of an online store for bikes BMW Kawasaki with only a few on the floor. They will have a large clothing and trinket section like Harley Davidson.

I actually really liked it when it was just Ride West back in day. Everyone was much happier. That latest shit show had me going south to get my BMW parts. John back in the KTM parts is an excellent guy. Worked for Dave at DucSea on the early/mid 2000s

    Yet south is BMW+Ducati...

I would prefer that setup or even better, back to Ducati Bellevue!

How awesome would that be if it was Kawasaki too? Just like the Greenlake days when it was called Gregg’s BMW-Kawasaki. Although when I walk in the new place in a few weeks I doubt anyone there will get the reference.

Slight correction to the above In regards to John back in KTM parts. Ummm.... no. Jon (no “H”) was/is a Ducati parts PRO. A national treasure. He was at DucSea from the beginning in 1999 until the bitter end when the Sheriff locked the doors. Before that he was “the guy” at Bellevue suck-duc (Suzuki-Ducati).

Selfishly, not having my friend of 20 plus years nearby to assist with my obsession when necessary is far and away the biggest loss for myself. At least he landed on his feet at South Sound. All I have to do is drive to Feef when I need a fix.

GR8ADV you worked at Gregg’s? Man that was back in the day. My older cousin bought his GPZ750 new there and I remember being starstruck whenever he took me to the shop.

Since we’re getting all nostalgic check out this R100S I woke up a couple years ago. Bought it from the the original owner (airline pilot of course) who had it conceived/built by Bill Buckingham over 40 years ago. Paint by Clyde Moslander. Old skool!

I'm just happy a BMW dealership is opening in the area. Let's see how they do before we start beating them up.

Also happy they're opening, but really wish it was also KTM and Duc. Losing the Lake City shop was a big hit to us in Seattle, and having all the best toys under one roof was amazing.

When do they start taking service appointments? I am thrilled (although I wish it was on the eastside and not Lake City Way).

    Ride West was awesome...

Drove by this afternoon.. I would say June 1st is optimistic based on the current condition. Again, thrilled that something is coming... I hope to be a service customer soon.

I toured the parking lot yesterday as well after a parts run to Lake City Power. The boys there were not aware of the BMW re-birth a mere 5 blocks away lol.

And yah June 1 seems real ambitious after seeing the space as it is currently.
