    One source: BMW R850 R R1150 R R1200 R Handle Bar Risers (wunderlichamerica.com)

There are other sources, or there have been other sources in the past, so if need be, modify your search to get better results...

I thought those were generic, for specific bar diameters. Some are anyway. I have one for thin bars that would work on the R if I wanted it there, and a short riser for thick bars I'm using on a different bike.

South East Okie... I've got these off the bike and in a bag if you want a set from MV Motorrad-Technik. They get the BMW color just right. The R1150's and R1200 Roadsters have the same spacing and clamps. I'm long limbed - even thought about flipping mine to push the bars away from me. ( pic from purchase date )

SEO passed on them... if anyone is looking for a set PM me.

Common subject and over represented by the inter web.
There IS a may to check for “spline slop” by pulling the starter.
I will perform this during next winter when I’ve exhausted all other projects.

Looking at a nicely appointed 2009 of these, test rode a R nine t today and remembered how enjoyable the Boxer is to fling from side to side and rocket out of narrow backroad twisties with, but would prefer the ergos and setup on the R more. Is ~$6k for a full Ohlins equipped '09 w/33k miles reasonable? Besides the fuel strip going out (which is apparently an issue here), anything else to take note of? Owner has all records and seems to be saying all the right things in the ad.

Should I wait for a camhead to show up?

    Yes...

Few inmates have recently acquired 2011 and up Camhead Roadsters for ~$4K with < 6K mi so they're out-there...

That was w/o Ohlins though so add another ~$800 for used yellow springs/shocks...

Started our ride Wednesday for the MOA in Great Falls, Montana. Rode a little over 300 miles each of the first three days, at 944 so far. Did some fun roads in the State of Jefferson including Bear Camp Road. Decided to go up the coast to Coos Bay, OR area. Rode today to the middle of Oregon, (Madras), headed to Idaho (Moscow) in the morning.

    Yes, Hexhead overpriced.

Yes, Camhead worth the wait (for that Hexhead price as well!)

    Good luck, ride on.

Just brought home this bad oscar on Wednesday. I've only had a chance to ride it home from the dealer about 75 miles but I loved it. Can't wait to ride again!

If it comes with factory luggage I would say it is a fair deal for both parties. I do prefer the Camhead, not just because I own one but I prefer the more traditional dash layout. But the Hex Head is still a fine motor, and that one comes with Yellow Springs as Lead Wrist likes to say.

    Good luck,

    Rick G

It's says it's "Exclusive" underneath passenger seat so draw your own conclusions what that may mean... :D

Actually, after I posted an inmate here who was getting ready to list his R hit me up and we came to a deal! Picking his '14 Classic up on Monday, which is the colorway I've loved ever since I first saw it.

If anybody knows of somebody selling a suspension upgrade for a Camhead let me know!
