LOWERED PRICE!! Up for sale is my much beloved 2004 R1100S. Asking $4,900.

This is the last year of the 1100S and has the twin spark engine. It has around 28,800 miles. I bought this bike in 2011 with just over 17K. I then shipped it over to Germany to be stored at Knopf Tours in Heidelberg, Germany. About every year I'd go over at least once and do a two week trip riding various regions of the EU, mainly the Alps. I had it for sale for while last year while it was over in Germany, but alas too many obstacles with selling a US plated bike in Germany. This spring I shipped it back. I'm selling it because the wifey now rides and we just shipped Knopf two smaller bikes so that we can ride together. I really do not need this bike as I have an ample stable of other rides.

    Some of the items;
    - K&N air filter
    - Oil changed every year when I went over to ride. Approx every 2-3K miles.
    - Had clutch and all relevant seals replaced in 2017 in Germany. ($1,700 repair)
    - Ohlins front and rear (rebuilt in 2016)
    - Remus race exhaust (incredible throaty sound)
    - Booster plug installed.
    - Kaoko throttle controller.
    - R and D bar back bar risers installed (allows a more upright riding position).
    - Suburban Machinery peg lowerers (more comfortable leg position for long days touring).
    - BMW OEM touring hard cases. (keyed to ignition)
    - Givi 46 ltr top case
    - BMW Touring wind screen with MRA wind deflector
    - Bike stored at Knopf Tours since 2011. Always garaged.
    - Heated grips
    - New Odyssey battery

Since I got the bike back home I have changed the oil, (Liquid Moly 10W-60) transmission fluid, rear drive fluid, (RedLine lightweight shock proof) bled the brakes (yes both systems for the servo assist brakes) and the clutch. (Pentosin DOT4), adjusted the valves and upgraded the fuel injectors. The bike runs like a Swiss clock. Tires are Michelin Pilot Road 5 with about 50% life left.

Bike is located just outside of Salt Lake City, in Park City. It is a beautiful part of Utah. Please let me know if you may have any other questions.

    Thanks for the interest.

So, I may have missed the model year. Does the above statement make it a 2005?

The '05s had a BCR type paint job, no ABS, and not many around as I recall. The bike advertised would be an '04 I think

Very nice, I like how you have this set up.
If my F800GSA sells soon I'll be interested.

This is not a Boxer Cup "Prep"?
    Don't think they had ABS.

DARK, Thanks for the comments. It's a great bike. I've done several longer tours on it and it's great in the twisties. Let me know if you have any specific questions about it.

Long shot, but any interest in a Buell Ullyses plus some cash?

I am in the planning stage of a long cross country trip. I really like my Buell, but have had a few BMW's of this era and am a lot more competent at wrenching on them. Been looking at RT's, but this bike is a bit more to my liking.

The Prep had no ABS from my recall, a smaller alternator, and the tall BCR suspension. It was the stripped down model. BCRs came with or without ABS as an add on.

Hi Tuff. Is this still available? Do the Ohlins shocks retain remote preload adjustment? And what do you think about the servo brakes? I have always steered clear of those, hearing stories of total brake failure while riding, but I'm no expert, so willing to learn.

I was going by the OP's comment about bleeding them. Didn't servo brakes come in sometime in '02?
