hello inmates , this is the latest addition to my stable, I have many treads in GSPOT, also you guys can look at my tread called R1100S:removing the rocker box without removing the head, or something close to it, I am truly please with this bike, hope to have it for many years to come ...
Seeing all these 1100S bikes is making me miss my 1100S bought new in nov 98, much modded and thoroughly enjoyed for 7 years. If you buy one of these the most effective improvement/dollar mod you can invest in is a GS brake torque arm, it is a little shorter than the std S arm, it raises the rear of the bike and sharpens the the whole feel of the bike.
thanks , I always wanted one , i will ride it for a while , give my GS a break, maybe I will sell it in the near future an buy a F650GS or a F800GS, it will complete me more I think....
Maybe I'm an anomaly but I thoroughly enjoy touring on my S-bike. Rode it to an airhead event in Northern California a few days back. Yeah, I know it's not an airhead, but it sure does travel well.
US 191 near Crescent City, California.
Northern California coast.
I think Paul might have been jealous. Sure, Babe's strong, but the S-bike is faster!
Great beer. Had some later . . . .
Point Arena Light. Restored, working.
Was just drinking beer at that brewery last Saturday. The weather was not bike worthy though. Beautiful S model.

LoL! They sure make good post-ride beer.
I started for home from the Bay area on Monday, 24 Oct. Pissing rain from Redding to Cottage Grove where I finally left I5 and got a motel! Weather wasn't fit for man nor beast-nor motorcycle-but was dumb enough to ride through it . . .
Picked this up yesterday:
