Thanks! Do you have any contact info for the bunkhouse. Looking at cabins around Jasper.

Just joined the BMWRA and waiting for my membership number so I can register for the rally.

I was a member many years ago before the split. Attended the BMWMoa in St. Paul last year but looking forward to some better riding, food and smaller crowd.

Still a go, unless WORK decides to make some major changes

Don't miss the Backwoods BBQ in ST Paul (only open Thur - Sat) or the Oark store, open every day. Both are great places to eat with pie for dessert, and not a bad road to get to either one.

If Oark is busy, head east on 215 over to Catalpa. It's a one man show, but the food is super good and the pie is awesome too!

Total B.S. - don't let the noise from a very few vocal idiots scare you away.

Folks here in the Ozarks LOVE visitors.
If you don't attend you will miss out on THE BEST riding in the midwest region. So many dirt and gravel county roads and national forest roads in this area.

BTW - I live 15 miles north of Harrison.
    C'mon down!!

    Abso-friggin-lutely!

The ride will be more about fun and enjoyable back-roads than it will be about challenging terrain.

We may, however, provide a track that goes through Frog Bayou. You'll need knobs. :evil

I'm waiting on a set of Heidi Scouts. That's probably what I'll have on.

    Hey everybody,

I just dropped by to spread some rally propaganda.

Arkansas loves motorcyclists so much that they give us free maps! Be sure to order your free Motorcycling Guide here: http://www.arkansas.com/motorcycling/brochures/

The Motorcycling Guide provides several great routes, some of them gravel. Push Mountain Road is also called The Serpent and is a famous motorcycling road.

The GS Giants are also planning a ride. More info here: http://bmwra.org/rally/gs-giants

The BMW Performance Center will also be there. More info here: http://bmwra.org/rally/training-bmw-performance-center

Everyone loves a free map, right! I know that I do. :D

But for anyone that's going to be spending any time riding in the Ozarks ................. I believe that the single best resource for finding and linking together all the great roads in that region is the Butler Map of the Ozarks. It's an absolute "must have" if you're going to spend any time back there at all. It's not free :D ................. but it's well worth the $. The secondary paved roads are some of the real gems back there, and their map shows them all.

Not only does it encompass all the fantastic Ozark roads in MO & AR and even over into eastern OK and KS, but it also displays the great Oauchita Mountain routes like the Talimena Scenic Drive and AR highway 7.

If you're going to be riding in that area, the only thing more important than this map ............. is fuel and tires! :lol3

    See you in Harrison!

Just got done registering this morning. Looking forward to the rally and some riding, also gives me some seat time to see if I like the Corbin seat I just picked up.
