Why would you think they would not? Agein when Kawasaki does it With the ZZR1400 and Z1000SX, why wouldent BMW do it?

S1000F cant replace K1300S, they are diffrent bikes even tough they shear som qualetys.

So it might be a BM take on the Versys 1000?

I would guess they're thinking more high-end like their own brand and imagining the Duc MS. Great stuff. Bring it on.

doesn't that move up into the super tanker weight class? This one, you would think, has the potential for near multistrada weight given the racebike starting point

Makes sense to try to kill the Z1000SX, which has sold a ton.

BUT, it will be surely be much more expensive and with higher APR if you are financing.

CBF1000 was rather expensive here actually.. very close to the price of a base R1200R.

Well even if they did it would be better looking than KAWASAKI's version of this thing which, apart from the ugly is just a blatant ripp off of the KWAKA. (had to say that ..:rofl)

...as long as they don't use the GS front end. The front of that doesn't win any design awards either.

I get the "sport" part of the equation, but what makes up the "tourer" component of this bike?

And comfort, bigger gas tank (I'd guess?), and the ever-popular "retuning". Sounds great to me. I just don't really want to spend this much on bikes any more.

I'm with you on this. That is why I like my Bimota DB5R so much, the electronics make the plugs spark and the gas squirt, and that is about it!

Yeah, I suspect the higher priced 1290 R is going to trump all these nekkid bikes

Looks like BM are doing with this bike what Suzuki should have done with the GSXR 1000 motor.
Perhaps then, they (Suzuki) wouldn't be in the doldrums..
