So - after having a couple of test rides on the "R" version, here's a couple of things i'd like for BM to feature on the "F" variant..

20lt + tank. 180 mile range would be nice.
Good wind protection. Relative value i guess - but the LC GS felt great compared to my old MTS12.
The same level of feel and braking performance as the "R". God knows what the HP4 must be like.
Competitive price. The "R" is the best value in the class. Hope the "F" is too.
A center stand. Practical is good.
Offer it in BMW racing colours. It'd look ace.

If it's a BMW, why is there a KTM logo on the fairing?

Besides the KTM being IMO the fugliest thing on 2 wheels, service on their street bikes is nonexistent in my area. There have been 4 dealerships that had KTM in last 9 years here. None of them had the street line, only dirt. It might be a great bike but I had hell getting service for my 990 Adventure, closest dealer was 220 miles and they since dropped KTM.

Strange as it may be but I was speaking to our tyre designer today who is working on a tyre for the 2015 Tiger Sport 1200.

i also seem to recall there were some emission problems with the the 1050 engine not being able to meet new legislation.

It seems Triumph may be increasing their "tourer" engine capacity while others reduce theirs?

Interesting. I'd heard a rumour that there was a new Tiger 12 popping up next year. More power, less weight etc..

I'd heard that the big Tiger was getting the electronic suspension from the Trophy, a power bump and 10kgs cut from it somehow.

What would be cool is if Triumph launch a MTS rival - similar to what BMW will be doing with the 'F'..

Thought i'd give this thread a bump. Spoke to a dealer today who has already taken 2 deposits on the bike. He seems to think it'll be Tiger 1050 money. Hope he's right..

Not sure what Tiger 1050 money is.... hasn't this bike been discontinued? In any event, my guess would be halfway between S1000R and S1000RR money.

I thought somewhere between the S1000R - RR as well. I'm guessing it'll be sub - Multistrada money which seems logical..

All we have are rumors. Probably an announcement at one of the fall bike shows (e.g., Intermot in October) with first deliveries within six-months of this.

Most dealers will take informal refundable deposits on rumored bikes. It just puts you in a queue at the dealership to formalize the purchase if/when the bike does become real.

And I guess BMWs target market has enough disposable income to toss $500 at a dealer for 6-12 months :rofl

Fingers crossed, i'm hoping it'll only be a couple of hundred more than the "R" model.
