I have an older 1200 GS. Haven't ridden it much lately and it needs some KNOWLEDGEABLE TLC. Big Twin was getting kind of sketchy when they went out and the experience I've had with Dennis Dillion hasn't been exactly stellar. Had a private guy that did well for a while but the last two experiences with him were ….. well …. not as good as the first few. I'm actually thinking about the dealer in Reno (if they're still there anyway) I've heard good things and if I can schedule with they I might just take a little vacation. It's mostly tune up/maintenance stuff with a little kinda like body work to go with it. My last experience with the private guy resulted in some bent Hepco Becker bars. Any info would be appreciated -- if you don't want to put it on the forum do a private msg. Please. thanx, 4r
Dennis Dillon has a new service mgr I believe, formerly worked at Carl's Cycles. Tom is his name. He always treated me fairly and is very knowledgeable, though not necessarily about BMWs.
I'd be interested in any info about Dennis Dillon, too. I do most of my own work, but would like to have a "go to" for stuff that's over my head. I heard that Curtis from Carl's is there - he had a good reputation from what I heard. CK
if you are up for the drive Cheshire Motorsports in Portland is a BMW/ Ducati specialist. He owns old bikes and stellar reputation
My info is a year old, but in July of 2019 returning from Alaska trip I had a mechanical problem on my ‘16 GSA near Boise. The service Dept at Dennis Dillon went out of their way to get me back on the road. Fido
