For your amusement check out the weather forecast for Wellsboro, PA and Des Moines, Iowa for the respective rally dates. I am going to love NOT being in Iowa.

It doesn’t look so bad for Iowa....except.... hot.

Are the RA rallies always out East?

Every now and then I check...I'm not sure if they are always there or if it is just a weird coincidence that any year I'm free for a rally it happens to be on the right coast.

I've been to all except Harrison (recovering from a crash), and Laguna Seca (not enough time off that year). Always a good time. Some sites have been better than others, but always great riding areas nearby. I believe the club gets better attendance for the eastern rallies, hence the site selections.

Five of us stayed in the Pine Cabin at Rough Cut Lodge for 5 nights about a month ago. Loved it. Cabin was immaculate, because we were on bikes no charge for linens. Three of us brought fly fishing gear and fished the pine creek right on the property every afternoon. Riding in the area amazing.

Myself and my Father, another inmate here, will be going, how are the amenities for the on site camping? Will there be showers? Power?

There is a shower building on site and quite a few outlets on the poles and fences. One good sized air conditioned building and a bunch of animal shelters. Vendor booths have power also. The Fairgrounds is approx 300 X 300 yards.
5 miles East of Wellsboro on Rt 6, turn left at the big Lawn Mower dealership. The fairgrounds is right behind it.

Thanks for the reply, are these power poles within reasonable reach of the camping area or are they where we will be setting up camp?

I live 100 miles away and checked the place out a few weeks ago. It's a small Fairground. Plenty of plugs to charge stuff. I'm sure they will have a special needs area for people with C paps and other stuff that requires 110v. The area down to the left past shower building looked like an RV area with plenty of 4 plug 110v sockets along both sides of the fence line. I'm riding out there again on Saturday to check out the area again.

Does anyone have an itinerary? I might be able to make it for part of Friday. I'd like to see what I could do. There isn't much on the BMW RA website or maybe I just couldn't find it. I may just head up that way anyway. Riding up the West rim is a blast.
    Thanks!!
