Today, 8 days before the start of the trip, Miguel´s Vstrom would not start. Battery power seem to be OK, but the starter motor would not move.

This happened to the GS1200 2 weeks ago. The BMW dealership replaced the battery under guarantee. Hope this doesn't happen in the future.

Up to now the TDM´s are trouble free :evil, will see after the start of the trip.

This is the approximate altitude chart that is to be expected. A lot of high peaks meaning a lot of cold weather.

:nortonTomorrow will be our first day. We are planning a short work day and start our journey just before dusk. We will have a short night trip to Girardot. This is a 2 hour ride and will definitely change the temperature since we will be going downhill about 2600 meters (7500 feet).

We are ready to go. Ive just weighted my luggage and tipped the scale at 27 KG (about 60 pounds), My girlfriend says that I'm packing a little too much.

The dealer told us to be careful with brand new tires, since they tend to be a little slippery, the same with the new brake pads.

I loved the altitude map you did. I'd like to create something similar for our trip. What did you use? Just XL? PM me for my cell phone. I think you will just be a couple of days ahead of us. Looking forward to meeting you in person :) :clap
